Most Used Products

Being a beauty enthusiast, I'm always trying new products but these 6 are what I've been using quite regularly for a while now. They vary between skin care, hair and makeup so I thought I would share with you why I've been loving them.

First up is is dry shampoo. This is something that I've been using daily for years now and it has changed the entire hair game ever since it was released. It refreshes my hair when it's feeling greasy as it just soaks up all the oils, giving me the appearance and feel of freshly washed hair. A lot of brands have come out with their own dry shampoos and I have given them a go, but I always come back to Batiste. One of my favourite scents is Blush, which is a floral scent that leaves my hair smelling like fresh flowers. I also love the Tropical scent which is perfect for Summer because it smells just like a pina colada. It does leave that white powdery finish in my hair but because I'm a blonde, it just blends in without a trace.

Face wipes are a great way to effectively remove makeup or freshen up after a long day. These Micellar Cleansing Wipes by Simple completely remove all traces of my makeup (even waterproof mascara) without having to wipe over my face several times or rub over the same area which can cause redness. It's so gentle but it does such a wonderful job at wiping my face clean and removing impurities. Another thing I love about this product is it doesn't dry out my skin after use which is something that I've experienced with some other face wipes. I'm a big fan of these face wipes and I'll definitely be repurchasing them.

I always apply a lip balm before bed and I just love the Moon Balm by Hurraw! It contains Vanilla and Blue Chamomile as well as Avocado, Rosehip, Argan and Meadowfoam oils to rejuvenate the lips. Often some lip balms disappear after only a few hours of wear but not this one! It has some serious staying power, lasting all through the night leaving me with soft and hydrated lips when I wake. It's been formulated so well and I just love all the beautiful ingredients Hurraw! use in their balms. Their balms are my go-to whenever my lips need repairing and moisturisation.

Maybelline's Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation is one of my favourite drugstore foundations out on the shelves. It offers me medium to full coverage with a poreless, matte finish. This is a fantastic product for anyone with oily skin like myself and it wears very well throughout the day. The formula is lightweight and easy to blend into the skin for a flawless finish. The only thing I really dislike about this foundation is the no pump dispenser situation. It just makes it difficult to control how much product I want to use and it's easy to over-pour which then becomes wasteful. But the overall product is amazing and it's been well loved since I purchased it.

I like to use a face mask about 1-2 times a week and I find the Deep Down Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask by Formula 10.0.6 great for my blemish prone skin. I love the subtle orange scent and the tingling sensation it has on my skin once applied. My skin always feels soft, clean and refreshed after using it and I do think it has brightened my complexion. It's an amazing inexpensive face mask, I definitely recommend it.

When Summer strikes, I bring out my trusty Total Matteness by Philosophy to help keep my oily skin under control. It doesn't do all that much in terms of erasing my pores however, it does a fantastic job at minimizing shine. I've tried other shine control moisturises/serums but none of them work as well. It's oil-free and contains bamboo and lentil extract as well as salicylic acid. It adds that smooth, silicone feel to my skin which I like and really keeps my skin matte for a long period of time.

That's it for my current most used products and I hope you enjoyed the read!
