Review | Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

You might have heard that the Healthy Mix Foundation has had a bit of a revamp (in formula and packaging) and it only just launched not too long ago here in Australia, so I am very excited to review this one for you guys because spoiler alert - I think we're onto a winner!

DESCRIPTION
It's hydrating skincare formula enriched with Vitamin C, Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E boosts natural radiance and provides anti-oxidant and regenerating action. Signs of fatigue such as dark circles, puffiness and redness are erased, for a 16-hour healthy glow.

PACKAGING
It's similar to the original with the red pump dispenser and I really like that the cap isn't flimsy, so it sits securely in place. Really cute packaging and I think I'm liking the new look!

FORMULA
It has a thin, liquidy consistency but it's creamy all at the same time. It blends like a dream over the skin with a damp makeup sponge and it definitely feels hydrating, so it doesn't cling to dry patches whatsoever.

COVERAGE
Two full pumps covered my entire face evenly and I would say it's a medium but buildable coverage foundation. I did still have some acne scarring and blemishes peeking through but that's nothing a touch of concealer can't hide.

FINISH
My skin looked flawless after application and it left a nice dewy finish so it immediately boosted my complexion by giving me that healthy glow that it claims. It didn't feel heavy at all, in fact, it was very comfortable on the skin to the point where I almost forgot I was wearing foundation. There was no cakiness (even after powdering), it just sat beautifully on the skin.

LONGEVITY
With my oily skin and this foundation having such a hydrating formula, I was a little worried that I might become a hot mess within the hour. To my surprise, it held up amazingly well! After the five hour mark, I felt the need to blot away some shine that was beginning to surface but it still looked just as good as when I applied it. There was no sign of separation, fading or melting - it still looked great!

PROS
Comfortable to wear
Fantastic coverage
Long lasting
Contains skin loving ingredients
Hydrating formula

CONS
Limited shade range

FINAL THOUGHTS
This foundation has blown me away and I can see myself using this a ton, especially in Winter. The formula, the finish, the coverage, the staying power, everything about it is just great and I simply cannot fault it. I think this would suit normal to dry skin types the best however, if you have oily skin just be sure to carry blotting sheets and a face powder for touching up and you'll be good to go. The shade selection isn't the best (like most drugstore foundations) but if you can find a shade that works for you, definitely give it a try because it's a beautiful product!
