2 Years of BlonDee's Beauty

It's my two year blogiversary (hooray!) and I couldn't be more proud of myself! Today I wanted to take the time to say a big "thank you!" to each and every one of you who read my blog, because it truly means a whole lot. To celebrate this milestone, I thought I would take you on a journey through the years of BlonDee's Beauty.

Taking a trip down memory lane, I distinctly remember thoroughly researching about what blogging actually entails before taking the leap. I was at a point in my life where I felt lost and had no sense of direction in terms of my career until my significant other said to me, "think of a hobby or something you really enjoy and start from there." So that was precisely what I did. I have always been a creative person so painting, drawing and photography was a big hobby of mine all the way through my schooling, and then I developed an interest in beauty. So the mix of beauty, photography and writing (among other things) seemed absolutely perfect for me which was when BlonDee's Beauty was born.

Looking through the archive, my writing technique plus photo taking skills have improved dramatically over the two years and I have learnt and grown so much as a blogger. I started off by uploading once a week, then twice and now three times a week which has definitely kept me busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Blogging is not a hobby; for me it's a career, it's my life and I am incredibly passionate about it all. As much as I LOVE beauty I didn't want this blog to be solely about just the one topic, so I decided to slowly incorporate lifestyle and blog related content like my affordable photo styling props just for some variety.
You may have heard this from many bloggers within the community, but it's true what they say - blogging is not as easy as it seems. Number one: It's not an instant money maker so it requires A LOT of patience and effort which was something I was very aware of when I began blogging, but I am determined to accomplish my goals. I will be honest, there are days when I struggle to find the inspiration, motivation or I'm simply just suffering from 'bloggers block' (it happens to the best of us). Even though it can be tough at times, not once did I think about quitting because the best things take time, and time is something I have plenty of.

Becoming a full time blogger has been the best decision I've made, and I am just so happy to have finally found what it is that I am passionate about. I have definitely come a long way since my very first blog post, but I do have much more to learn and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year will bring. It has been quite a journey so far and I look forward to producing more content here on the blog. Happy blogiversary to me!
