A Nude by Nature Lip Collection

What makes a great lip product you might ask? It's all in the formula. And Nude by Nature have that down pat with their 100% natural ingredients with some being native to Australia (like the Vitamin C rich Kakadu Plum). I gracefully raided the shelves and got my hands on a bunch of their lip glosses, lipsticks and lip pencils. I managed to form quite the little lip collection and they are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside (talk about rose gold heaven).

The problem I sometimes face with lip pencils is that they tend to lack pigment and can be dry and scratchy which is the last thing you want to be applying over your lips (the thought of it makes me shudder). Thankfully these are the complete opposite with a lip-loving formula containing ingredients such as Macadamia, Meadowfoam and Mango Seed oils to condition and moisturise. The pencils themselves aren't overly creamy or too firm either so they're a perfect balance between the two, and they apply smoothly over the lips with a great level of opacity.

I have been SO into more hydrating lippies as of late (like L'Oréal's Colour Riche Shine Addiction lipsticks) - particularly ones that leave your pout with a luminous sheen because I think they're incredibly flattering. These colour-rich lipsticks have such a luxurious and buttery texture which makes them an absolute joy to apply. Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter and Vitamin E work to protect, nourish and soothe your lips so you can look fabulous with the added benefits of natural skincare. The three shades that stand out to me the most are 'Dusky Nude', 'Garnet' (a stunning burnt orange) and 'Dusty Rose' simply because you cannot go wrong with a nude-pink. I love how lightweight and comfortable they feel and when paired with their lip pencils, your lip colour will last you through the night.

Remember when lip gloss used to be thick, sticky and a hair magnet? Well they have definitely come a long way since the early 00's and I have developed a strong liking for them. They are one of those no-fuss makeup products that I like to throw on when I want to look a little put together while still keeping my look natural and minimal. As someone not so blessed with full lips, these glosses give the illusion of a more voluminous pout thanks to the unique moisturising microspheres in the formula. They also deliver weightless shine and a non-sticky texture whilst repairing and softening my lips all at the same time. There are flecks of fine glitter throughout the formula, but you won't feel that gritty texture on your lips at all - it just adds dimension and enhances that wet/glossy appearance. Very much a fan of these lovely glosses and they have become a handbag staple.

Are you a lipstick or gloss fanatic? Which shades are catching your eye?
