Makeup Revolution | Iconic 3

I love me a great quality, inexpensive eyeshadow palette and the Iconic 3 by Makeup Revolution is exactly that and more. In today's post I will be sharing with you my honest thoughts and opinions on this lovely palette, and I've included swatches as well so you can fall in love with it just the way I have.

The Iconic 3 is by far the most popular palette in the Iconic range and I can see why. The shades are almost identical to Urban Decay's cult classic Naked 3 palette, which makes it the perfect dupe for a fraction of the price. I was immediately drawn to this palette for that reason alone because the Naked 3 is a luxury item and it doesn't fit into everyone's budget, so I was very eager to see what all the fuss was about. And with all the 5 star reviews, I had very high hopes for it.

It instantly became my new obsession after only a few swatches and it is up there in my top 5 eyeshadow palettes. The shades are a mix of mattes and shimmers with gold, browns and rosy-pink tones. A perfectly versatile palette for creating soft, subtle day time looks and kicking it up a notch with a shimmery, sultry smoky eye for night time. The shadows are very blendable with barely any fallout which is amazing and the pigmentation is of high end quality. The very last shade at the end of the palette has these little pink/rose gold flecks which is just gorgeous.

As far as the packaging goes, I would've preferred it if they had a mirror instead of the clear plastic just so I could use the shadows when I'm travelling. I also find those generic sponge tip eyeshadow applicators very inefficient and messy. These are just minor cons though and they have no effect on the overall quality of the eyeshadows, so don't let that put you off from purchasing it. I just think the packaging has room for improvement.

Overall, I think this is a fantastic eyeshadow palette and it blew me away with the high pigmentation and the shadows themselves just look stunning on the eyes. I adore the rose gold tones and the browns. It's great that there are a variety of mattes, shimmers and darks to lights to create any look you desire for any occasion. I feel like the packaging could be better but it's not a major issue for me in the slightest. 100% recommend the Iconic 3 eyeshadow palette. It's under $9 so perfect for anyone on a budget or even as a gift for any makeup enthusiast.
