Beauty In Wonderland is the theme of this December's Look Fantastic Beauty Box which is very fitting for the Christmas period, and also very Alice In Wonderland-esque that I am totally loving! I reviewed this year's August box here which I genuinely enjoyed (apart from a few products that simply did not work for me), so I thought it was about time that I review another and give you a look at what's in the final box of 2017.
MDMFLOW SEMI-MATTE LIPSTICK
This brand is completely new to me so I was eager to suss out this lippie. Let's dive straight into the cons shall we? 'Bossy' looks like a lovely cool toned nude in the bullet but once swatched, it looks a lot more like a warm brown so I wouldn't say it's very true to colour (but still pretty nonetheless!). I found the formula to be quite dry and not as creamy as I had anticipated and finish is definitely not semi-matte. The shade itself gives me major 90's nostalgia and it looks great against my fair skin, I also think the street style design they've gone for is pretty cool. I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest - I'm kind of on the fence at this point, but I will continue trialing it.
POLAAR HAND CREAM
I got really excited by this cream containing arctic berries because it makes me think of dark berries covered in snow in the alpine regions which sounds beautiful and christmassy. It's infused with raspberries, blackberries and cranberries and it's also rich in vitamins A, C and E for hydrating the skin. This cream has a lovely delicate scent to it and doesn't leave a thick, greasy residue behind. I'll be carrying this little guy in my handbag for when my hands are in need of some TLC.
BUBBLE T BATH FIZZER
This was a pleasant little surprise in this month's box and my gosh it smells AMAZING! This particular one is in collaboration with Bubble T especially for the Beauty In Wonderland box with the blueberry tea fragrance being specifically curated, and I cannot wait for this heat wave to be over so I can enjoy the heck out of it! I can just imagine it being a wonderfully fizzy and fruity experience!
GATINEAU ULTIMATE SMOOTHING SERUM
I am all for anti-aging products and I've been mainly focusing this serum on my neck to smooth out those fine lines. It has a lovely lightweight consistency that absorbs into the skin nicely and it does actually feel smoother. I am yet to see any real results but if I notice an improvement, I may just have to suck it up and dish out big dollars on the full size because I wouldn't mind delaying the aging process one bit!
FIGS AND ROUGE HYDRA-ACTIV DAY CREAM
First impressions, it reminds me of Aēsop packaging with the monochromatic labelling which isn't necessarily a bad thing because I'm really fond of simple packaging. It claims to hydrate, smooth, reduce fine lines and restore radiance and vitality which I agree with. I am loving the floral scent this has and it's not a heavy or thick cream either - my skin feels hydrated, smooth and looks healthy. This cream would be absolutely perfect during the cooler months when my skin is a little more on the drier side. It's definitely one of my favourites from this month's the box.
Lastly is this tiny pot of citrus smelling goodness. Once you begin working it into the skin, it lathers up, the sugar dissolves and you get this burst of fresh lemongrass that just wakes you up in the morning. My skin is left feeling clean, refreshed and smoother from the natural sugar crystals exfoliating the skin revealing a more radiant complexion. A great little addition in this month's box.
