As a gal with oily skin, I go above and beyond to ensure my foundation doesn't move an inch which is kind of a hassle (I envy you guys with a normal skin type!). But they are necessary steps in my base routine I need to take if I want to look flawless all day long. Thankfully, there are an abundance of products that can help make your foundation last longer for all budgets, and I'll also share with you some little tips that play a huge role in the longevity of my base.
URBAN DECAY OPTICAL ILLUSION COMPLEXION PRIMER
When I tested this on the back of my hand at my local Mecca store, I was blown away by how well it blurred my skin so of course I had to have it. It has this lovely velvety consistency that makes my skin feel incredibly smooth and it dries down to a complete matte finish which I always prefer. This beauty does pretty much everything I look for in a primer like giving my skin that airbrushed effect, not emphasizing dry areas, blurring out my pores and extending the wear of my foundation. It's especially great for anyone who has textured skin because it will smooth right over them leaving your complexion looking absolutely flawless!

RIMMEL INSTA FIX & GO SPRAY
A little tip for any of you who struggle to not look like an oil slick throughout the day is not only spritzing your setting spray after makeup application, but also prior to foundation application. This ensures that your primer is locked in place and increases the staying power of your makeup all together. At times I will spray some onto my beauty sponge and then apply my liquid foundation, so it's setting it at the same time and it definitely does make a difference! What I like most about this 2 in 1 spray is it's oil-free and the fresh cucumber scent which is a nice change from those funky/plain smelling setting sprays.
L'OREAL NUDE MAGIQUE BB POWDER
Face powder is my makeup bff because it's there for me when I need to banish shine and I take it with me everywhere I go. This particular one has such a soft texture and adds a touch more coverage to my base without looking too heavy. Without dusting my face with any sort of powder, I am guaranteed to look like an oily mess so it's a definite must-have product in preventing my foundation from sliding off my face.
RIMMEL MATCH PERFECTION LOOSE POWDER
Loose powder also does a wonderful job at helping our foundation to last for a longer period of time, but implementing the "baking" technique has been a total game changer. If you've been living under a rock and haven't heard of this trend, it's basically applying a thick coat of translucent powder with a damp makeup sponge over any areas you want to brighten (under eyes, forehead, nose and chin), let it sit for a few minutes and lightly dust it off with a brush. Not only does this set our foundation for extended wear, it also leaves our complexion looking perfectly airbrushed. This powder by Rimmel is easy on the wallet and does the job extremely well!
