NYX Simply Nude Lip Cream + Swatches

I've found myself having a real soft spot for not only foundations, but lip products also (especially those nude shades!). So of course today's post is all about the NYX Simply Nude Lip Creams that have been sitting in my makeup organiser just dying to be worn.

These chubby little lip crayons are available are in six shades with a highly moisturising and creamy formula that glides over the lips with ease.

Something I've noticed others experience is the actual lip crayon falling out upon opening which is definitely a flaw (it's happened to one of mine as well), which makes 'Fairest' difficult to use as it's just unstable and the lid doesn't sit securely either. A part from those negative points, the shade itself is a lovely beige-pink fantastic for day to day wear.

The two deepest shades in the collection being 'Exposed' (red-brown) and 'Sable' (deep brown with pink undertone), would look amazing on darker skin tones who are looking for that perfect nude. On fairer skin, they would make for great Autumn lip colours with those rich brown tones!

From top to bottom: Exposed, Fairest, Sable, Peaches, Disrobed & Honey.

'Disrobed' is my favourite shade out of the bunch simply because I just can't resist a pink-brown nude lip. It's such an easy, no fuss lip colour to wear. I feel like 'Peaches' and 'Honey' don't suit me very well but they are still pretty shades nonetheless!

Although the formula of these lip creams are truly beautiful, there are faults with the manufacturing of them so they're not my favourite lip range by NYX. The pigmentation is very good and they wear quite well throughout the day, so they definitely do have their pros and cons.

What are your thoughts on these lip creams?
