Review | Chi Chi Fabulous & Flawless Foundation

Happy Monday! Hope your week has been off to a great start!
It's been a while since I have reviewed a foundation for you all, so today's post is all about Chi Chi's Fabulous & Flawless Foundation and whether or not I would recommend it.

Let me just start off with a bit of an overview of Chi Chi, for anyone out there who is unfamiliar with the brand. They are an Australian cosmetics company who offer a wide range of affordable makeup products including eyeshadows (which I adore), lipsticks and face products exclusive to Myer and Target.

PRICE
$29.95

DESCRIPTION
Oil free foundation that is ultra-lightweight, with medium yet buildable coverage. Long wearing smudge-proof staying power with an easy glide-on application. Skin looks and feels soft, fresh and natural. Colour true, even looking shades. Super moisturising and hydrating, this unique foundation is antioxidant enriched with vitamins A, E and B5. With continual use helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. Paraben free and ideal for all skin types including sensitive skin.

PACKAGING
Comes in a frosted glass bottle which has a very nice expensive feel to it. Also has a pump which gives you more control over how much product you want to dispense without it becoming messy or wasteful. The design is very simple and minimalistic which I personally really like. The one thing I was really surprised by is the expiration date as most foundations will last you a good 12-18 months, whereas this one gives you a 24 month time frame.

FORMULA
The consistency isn't too thick or too thin and it blends very nicely over the skin with ease. It doesn't feel tacky on the skin, it's actually quite lightweight and smooth which makes it really comfortable to wear. There is a strong scent to this foundation it but once you've completed your full face of makeup, you don't notice it.

COVERAGE
It definitely provides medium coverage but it can be built up to a fuller coverage without it looking cakey. It evens out my skin tone well so I'd be happy with the one coat, and then just go in with a concealer over any blemishes I may have.

    FINISH
The finish is on the matte side and looks quite flawless on the skin. It didn't cling to dry patches however, it does sink into my pores but that's nothing a pore filling primer can't fix. The shade Porcelain (for very fair skin with neutral undertones) is actually the perfect match for my pale complexion; It's not too yellow or too pink, it has the right balance between the two. Another amazing factor is that it doesn't oxidize at all.

LONGEVITY
To my surprise, the lasting power is pretty decent considering I have an oily skin type so it didn't separate or fade too much throughout the day. I do have to blot away shine and touch it up with a bit of face powder if I'm wearing it all day/night, but it doesn't cake up, look heavy or change the overall look of the foundation, so it still looked flawless. It also didn't transfer too much when I touched my face either or smudge which is really impressive.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I could only find one fault with this foundation so I think it's simply incredible for a drugstore product. So if you're on the search for a new foundation or you are thinking about giving this one a try, I would say go for it! It did not leave me disappointed so I 100% recommend it. I can easily say that this foundation without a doubt makes it to my top favourites.
