If you have been reading my blog for a while you would know that Spring is my absolute favourite season of the year. And now that it has officially arrived here in Australia (hooray!) it's time to bring out those lightweight, dewy foundations for the ultimate fresh faced complexion.
What I love most about the Argan Infusion Natural Foundation by Models Prefer is that it's jam packed with ingredients that your skin will love you for, like Aloe Vera, Lavender and Grapefruit, as well as 100% Argan Oil for hydration. I love the fresh, natural look this foundation leaves on my skin and it never feels heavy, even after you build up the coverage. It's so lovely seeing foundations that are infused with skin loving ingredients because you can look fantastic with the added benefits of a skincare product.
If I'm having a great skin day, I will opt for a lighter coverage base like Maybelline's Dream Wonder Foundation. I like to apply it by using the dropper directly onto my face and blending it in with a beauty sponge for a more natural finish. It is very lightweight on the skin so it doesn't feel like you're wearing any makeup at all, and it does a nice job at evening out my skin tone when I have touch of redness or minor imperfections.
Rimmel's Lasting Finish 25H Foundation is a great drugstore product for those who much prefer a full coverage finish to their makeup during the Spring season. It withstands high temperatures so you don't have to worry about it slipping and sliding off your face, which just isn't cute. And for a full coverage foundation, it is actually really comfortable to wear and doesn't feel heavy on the skin in the slightest. It's also formulated with an SPF of 20 so you can soak up the sun minus the sunburn.
I am all about using BB/CC creams in the warmer months because I just love a good 'no-makeup makeup' look, and one that I have been using a fair bit lately is the Klara Cosmetics CC Cream 8 In 1 Mineral Foundation. The weightless formula feels very breathable on my skin and blends beautifully leaving me with a demi-matte finish. It works incredibly well on its own so you can get away with skipping the primer and still ending up with a flawless base.
The light reflecting pigments in Innoxa's 16 Hour Long Lasting Foundation makes such a beautiful base for the Springtime, as it gives your skin that youthful glow. It offers medium coverage that lasts quite well throughout the day and also contains antioxidants to help firm the skin.
