Brand Focus | e.l.f. Cosmetics

I like to do one of these posts each month where I focus on a particular brand and share with you at least 5 products from their range. I feel like it's a good way to become more familiar with a brand and get an idea of what their products are all about. As you probably had gathered by the title, it is all about e.l.f. in today's brand focus which are one of my favourite drugstore brands out there, so without further ado let's get on with the post!

I really love the packaging of their Face Primers, they have such a high-end look to them and Tone Adjusting Green is the way to go to counteract redness on your skin. The consistency is very lightweight and has that silicone feel which I tend to go for in a primer. It provides my skin with a silky soft base to work with which makes my foundation glide on evenly and easily. It also works well to reduce the appearance of my pores and helps with the longevity of my makeup. These primers also come in Clear, Brightening Lavender and Radiant Glow to meet your skin's needs.

I own a couple of their blushes and they're just of amazing quality, along with their Blush in the shade Twinkle Pink. Colour wise, it's quite comparable to the ever so popular Orgasm by Nars as it also has that gold reflect to it. It adds a touch of glow to the cheeks and the coral-pink shade of this blush just screams Spring and Summer. The pigmentation is lovely and they have a good range of colours to choose from for whatever mood you're in.

One of e.l.f.'s best selling products is their Illuminating Palette that I am utterly addicted to and just raved about it in my Collective Haul. These 4 powders look so beautiful on the skin with how they create such a soft radiant look. I like to use the lighter shades to highlight areas of my face and the bottom two shades as bronzers to warm up my pale complexion. The shades themselves are so soft to touch and blend like a dream as well. Fantastic quality for the price and I definitely recommend it if a subtle highlight is your thing.

For everyday makeup looks, I like to keep it quite simple and that's where their Smudge Pot Cream Eyeshadows come in. All I do is dip my finger into the pot, place it across my eyelids and that's all there is to it! The formula is really smooth and creamy so it blends incredibly well and doesn't crease throughout the day. Cruisin' Chic is a shimmery bronze-taupe shade that can be worn alone for a wash of colour or as a base for a more dramatic eye look. And speaking of eyeshadows, I am just dying to try their Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadows!

If you're looking for a makeup setting spray for everyday use like work or running errands, the Makeup Mist & Set does the job. I love that it is loaded with skin loving ingredients like Green Tea and Vitamins A, C & E so it feels very refreshing on the skin. As for the "mist" it's not very misty, it sort of shoots out and leaves your face almost dripping in setting spray. Other than that, it's a pretty good product and it really helps to prolong the wear of my makeup.
