Another month, another review and today it's all about L'Oréal's revamped True Match Foundation. I've noticed that it has been well-received by consumers and fellow makeup lovers out there, so I thought it was time that I share my thoughts as well.

PACKAGING
There are minor differences in the packaging of the old True Match Foundation like the shape of the bottle, and I much prefer the new and improved packaging as I feel it has more of a sleeker look.
FORMULA
The very first thing I noticed is the soft and lightweight consistency that really reminds me of L'Oreal's Infallible Matte Foundation which is a great foundation. It has this creamy, light reflective and luxurious texture as well and it blends like an absolute dream over the skin with a brush or makeup sponge. The shade 'Golden Ivory' is slightly too dark/warm toned for me but I made it work by mixing in some of my trusty shade adjusting drops.
I would say it has medium coverage so I had to do a bit of concealing over imperfections and hyperpigmentation from nasty breakouts. It covers redness and evens out my complexion nicely so I would happily walk out the door with one layer of this foundation.
FINISH
I love the finish this foundation leaves on my skin! It gives my complexion a gorgeous healthy glow, it feels so breathable and light on the skin. Even though I did apply a pore minimizing primer, it looked like my pores were emphasized, but it didn't bother me too much as this foundation doesn't claim to blur or fill in pores.
LONGEVITY
LONGEVITY
Around the four hour mark I noticed some oiliness peeking through, so I blotted away that shine on my t-zone and it was looking like I had just applied it. It didn't lift my makeup off causing patchiness or disrupt it at all. Surprisingly there wasn't a whole lot of fading or caking throughout the night which thoroughly impressed me. It didn't feel heavy or separate in an unflattering way either, it truly looked flawlessly beautiful with zero oxidization.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased this and I have to say, it's a pretty great drugstore foundation! It ticked all the boxes (except for one which could be a primer issue), and I think it was made incredibly well to suit all skin types. I normally reach for matte foundations because of my oily skin type, but this actually held up quite well considering. The finish is just lovely and it feels very comfortable, so it doesn't feel like you're wearing a mask over your skin. This foundation has completely won me over and I strongly urge you to try it for yourself!
Have you tried any of L'Oréal's foundations?
