The Bronzer Edit

Bronzers are the best way to warm up the skin tone (especially if you're pale like myself) for a golden, sun-kissed complexion. They come in all forms including liquid, cream and the very trendy cushion. But today it's all about the most popular form of bronzer - powders.

I got slightly carried away when I dipped my brush into this which resulted in an 'uh-oh' reaction. But it actually blended out like a dream! The high pigmentation was a pleasant surprise and the texture is SO velvety as well. 'Sun Bronze' isn't too warm toned so it really does give your skin that natural bronzed look. I really dislike the packaging because I always find those plastic lids to crack easily, but for the price you can't complain. The finish is completely matte so if that is your preference then you may just like this one.

The marbling in this baked bronzer is just beautiful. It has a shimmer to it that adds a nice luminosity to the skin that I personally LOVE for Summer, because as soon as the sun hits your skin you will look like a radiant bronzed goddess. This shade is definitely more golden so I think it would look especially stunning on deeper skin tones.

Left to right: Rimmel, Covergirl, The Body Shop & Maybelline.

This bronzer is the lightest of them all (shade 01) and it really couldn't be any more perfect for my fair skin. What I also love about this bronzer is how silky and fine the powder is, so it leaves a smooth and even finish on my skin. It's a very neutral shade and I find that it lasts all day on me. If you struggle with finding a bronzer for your fair skin, I strongly suggest testing this one out - it's truly amazing and well-loved by makeup enthusiasts.

Lastly, is this oldie but goodie by Maybelline. I reach for this when I'm in a hurry or having a lazy makeup day because it functions as an all-in-one. It has four shimmery shades that once swirled together create a gorgeous bronzed, peachy, golden glow. It enhances your bone structure, it highlights, adds warmth to your complexion and gives you a touch of pink for that rosy glow to the cheek. I use a very light hand and it makes a heck of a difference to my overall makeup look. Another great bronzer for the summertime when you want to look sun-kissed and utterly radiant!
