In The Spotlight | Sleek MakeUP Solstice Highlighting Palette

The Solstice Highlighting Palette is incredibly popular within the beauty community and when I first laid eyes on it, I just had to have it. So today the spotlight is on this stunning palette by Sleek MakeUP, where I've also included swatches so you can fall in love with it as much as I have.

Let's start off with the packaging shall we? It definitely has an expensive feel with the reflective gold and a mirror is included along with a little brush, which makes application on-the-go a breeze. It also magnetizes shut which I absolutely love because there's just something so satisfying and fancy about such a minor feature.

This palette holds 4 richly pigmented shades - Ecliptic (Cream formula), Hemisphere (Baked powder), Subsolar (Shimmer powder) and Equinox (Baked powder). I think all shades are really wearable for day to day with a light hand for a subtle glow, which can also be built up for some nighttime intensity. If you're feeling a bit daring, you could even mix and match for a custom shade all together. And if you're wanting to go all out on that glow, using Ecliptic would make a fantastic base followed by a powder highlight on top.

Left to right: Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar & Equinox.

I like to use this product with either a makeup brush or my fingertips along my cheekbones, inner corners of my eyes and my brow bone for a boost of radiance. I also think each shade would suit all skin tones which makes this a very versatile palette. The texture of the baked powder highlighters are incredibly soft, and I don't find the creamy shade to feel greasy or oily in the slightest which is a big plus.

My 2 personal favourite shades would have to be Hemisphere because there's just something so mystical/whimsical about a purple highlight, and Ecliptic which is a gorgeous creamy bronze tone. I've also been liking mixing Subsolar and Equinox which creates a beautiful silvery-gold shade that looks amazing on the skin, particularly as a Summer highlighter.

I also quite like the astronomy/space inspired names of the shades. I definitely think they are very fitting to the overall theme, and you can tell that they have put a tonne of effort into putting this lovely palette together.

For a drugstore product, this is truly an amazing palette and I can see why there is so much hype over it. The quality is simply fantastic and I know I'll be getting a lot of use of it. A must-have for your makeup bag, especially if you're a highlighter junkie!
