Transitional Beauty | Summer to Autumn

It's beginning to feel a lot like Autumn today as I'm writing this and I could not be happier (mainly because Summer and I don't get along!). So in preparation for this wonderful transition, I have rounded up some beauty bits and bobs to ease you into the cozy knitwear, pumpkin spice and deep berry lips season widely known as Autumn.

Greys tend to be my go-to nail colour for this particular transition and Essie's 'Master Plan' is just a beautiful soft tone of grey that suits perfectly. It isn't too light or too dark and it adds a nice touch of warmth to your nails. Having such fair skin all year round (more so as the weather cools down), I find this shade of neutral grey to really complement my skin tone as it's not harsh or too bold, plus it looks super chic and feminine which is what I am all about!

You may have seen me going on and on about these eyeshadow pots in my previous posts because they quickly became my new makeup obsession. 'Caramel' is a unique taupey rose gold shade with a shimmery finish and it is such a dream to apply across the eyelids. Remember when cream eyeshadows were thick, greasy, creased majorly and looked like a total hot mess? Well these are the complete opposite and if you've tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's, then you'll definitely fall head over heels in love with these also.

If I had to describe this fragrance using only four words, feminine, fresh, floral and sexy pretty much sums it up. I don't wear perfume in Summer because I'll just sweat it all out so I never saw the point of it, however this one is fantastic during this transitional period and it isn't overly sweet or so strong that it makes you cough uncontrollably. Whenever I spritz this, I am always overcome with this confidence that I can take on whatever life throws at me and conquer the day.

I absolutely adore L'Oréal's range of beauty products, especially their lippies and it's not a Summer to Autumn blog post without your traditional berry lip! First of all, the textured matte black casing with the gold looks incredibly luxe, and their formula is one of my all time favourites! 'Plum Tuxedo' is a rich raspberry colour with a purple undertone and it is actually to die for. The jojoba and camellia ensure your lips stay hydrated all day long and the level of pigmentation is outstanding. If you're not about that bold lip, you can easily diffuse the colour just by dabbing it on for a more wearable look at any time of the day.
