I've been seeing these types of blog posts all over the web and it inspired me to want to write a list myself. At the beginning of every new year I will jot down some of my blogging aspirations or something else completely unrelated that has sparked my interest (some have question marks beside them), but it's usually for my eyes only. For some reason I was just beaming with excitement about sharing my list with you guys this year and guess what? I have already crossed one of these goals off my list (go me!).
01. Migrate to Wordpress: BlonDee's Beauty is hosted by Blogger and I had been toying with the idea of moving to WP for roughly two years now, but I just wasn't 100% certain that it was a step I wanted to take at this point (it's hella expensive!). I've heard from fellow bloggers that it was the best decision they'd made because it allows you to have more control over your blog with all of these wonderful extras, which sounds totally amazing! So I may or may not migrate in 2018 - I'll just have to see what happens down the track.
02. Publish an eBook: A few lovely gals on Twitter were discussing eBooks and I thought "hey, that sounds like a very cool idea!". I haven't really brainstormed topics as yet, but I'm definitely thinking it'll be blogging related so that's a start! Again, this is also a may or may not situation simply because I haven't done any kind of research on what publishing an eBook entails, but I am very excited at the thought of it!
03. Reach a minimum of 3k followers on social media: Now I know blogging isn't about your follower count, but it would definitely increase my chances for brand collaborations and sponsorships. 'Tribe' is a marketing platform that connects influencers with brands by getting paid to create (hence the reason I need to reach a 3k following to be considered). So I'm making it a mission of mine to crush that goal because ya girl needs to make a living - just like the rest of us!
04. Open an Etsy shop as a side hustle: This idea only recently came to me and within a few days, The Art Of Dee is officially up and running! I thought this would be a great way to earn a passive income without it effecting my blogging schedule and taking too much time away from my number one priority that is my blog. I sell a variety of printables that are ideal for framing or hanging on walls to enhance your space. Since I've always had a creative flair, being arty comes naturally to me and I thoroughly enjoy it, so I wanted to share it with the rest of the world. I can officially cross this off my list and I'm pretty proud of that.
