Stand Out Products of 2017

My oh my did 2017 bring some A grade gems! I had quite the task on my hands to narrow it down to my absolute best-loved products including haircare, makeup, skincare and a fragrance that I couldn't believe I didn't discover sooner.

I have talked about this a bunch throughout 2017 and if you're an avid reader of my blog, you're probably sick to death of me jabbering on and on about it. But what can I say? It's THAT amazing! These pearly spheres will subtly brighten and illuminate your complexion with their light diffusing properties in the most prettiest way possible. If you're not crazy about face powders but you still want to set your makeup, then you'll be hooked on this one because it melts into the skin beautifully and it doesn't look or feel heavy whatsoever. The scent of violets is just wonderful and it truly is heaven in a tin!

Last year was the year that I fell head over heels in love with Colourpop (you can find my haul here), but it was this particular highlighter that really stood out from the lot. 'Lunch Money' is a gorgeous pale gold shade with the softest, creamiest, bounciest formula I've EVER swatched and it still blows me away every time I use it. You can easily build it up to the intensity you desire and it looks outright gorgeous on my fair skin! I honestly cannot rave about this enough and it would make a fantastic addition to your makeup bag.

This eye serum had become a staple product in my morning skincare routine for months on end because I actually saw real results from continued use. The steel applicator is incredibly cooling around the eyes and helps to depuff for a more wide awake appearance. The serum itself is ultra lightweight so it absorbs into the skin instantly, and it magically makes my under eyes look a little brighter and feel much smoother as well. It's not often I find an eye product that does what it claims so this beaut by Lancôme is a pretty big deal!

'Si' is sweet (but not so much that a single whiff hurts your teeth), floral, sexy, elegant and I never got sick of spritzing it. The bottle is just plain feminine and I adore wearing this during Autumn/Winter. As modern and classic of a fragrance this is, it also has a warmth and coziness to it that makes me want to wrap myself up in a fluffy blanket with a hot mug of cocoa. I would definitely consider looking into more of his perfumes because I was/still am absolutely smitten by this one.

I really enjoy these face masks but the one that I use just about every week is their Detoxifying & Brightening. I know I am certainly not alone when I say that this particular mask from their range is amazingly good because it truly is! The kaolin clay draws out impurities and excess oils and I'm left with baby smooth skin that looks clearer. I also like to use this as a spot treatment to help banish nasty, stubborn breakouts and it does a great job at that. This stuff does wonders so it definitely lives up to the hype and I would repurchase it in a heartbeat!

This was the foundation of the year and for good reason because it is phenomenal! The coverage, finish and longevity is nothing short of amazing (read my full review here) and I honestly cannot fault it in any way. Did I mention it's also waterproof? This is 100% worth the splurge and it is EVERYTHING I look for in a foundation, so if that doesn't make you rush to your nearest YSL counter then I don't know what will!

I have gone through many hair products claiming to give my flat hair volume, but they were either very gimmicky or the results were barely noticeable (sigh). However, this cleansing volumizing paste with its unique clay to foam formula restored my faith because it gave my locks the bounce and fullness that it craved so much! Not only did it look thicker but it felt it too and it lasts all throughout the day - even the day after. It doesn't weigh my hair down or leave a weird residue behind, and the scent of rose is an added bonus.
