Summer Eyes, Lips & Cheeks

I'm not too crazy about Summer. In fact, it would have to be my least favourite season of the year. But there are a few things that I do enjoy; Number one would be having fish and chips and ice cream at the beach, and two is the pretty, glowy and fresh makeup that I have brought to you in today's post.

This liquid blush just gives my cheeks the most natural flush that works so well when I'm going for a fresh and simple makeup look. 'Headliner' is a very muted pink shade that complements my fair skin quite well and the texture is SO silky soft. Not sure if these blushes are available for purchase anymore which is a shame because they're really lovely.

As soon as Summer hits, I am all about lip gloss because it just makes for the perfect Summer look. I'm sure just about everyone knows this by now, but these glosses are fantastic! The formula is ultra lightweight and they never feel sticky on the lips. I love 'Maple Blondie' because the peach tone just screams Summer and it also looks great on my skin tone. If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend buying a whole bunch of these especially if you're a lip gloss fanatic.

When it comes to Summer eyes, I tend to keep it fairly simple by just applying mascara or something shimmery from this bargain of a palette. These gorgeous bronze shades add a little oomph to my makeup look and they are nicely pigmented as well. I like to define my crease by adding one of the deeper shades and follow up with a lighter shade all over the lid for a subtle day time look.

I totally forgot I had this limited edition cute little duo in my stash until just recently. This set includes an Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in 'Enthused' (stunning champagne shade), and a Cheek Stain in 'Dazed' (peach-gold). The two combined give your cheeks a beautiful rose-champagne glow that I am absolutely loving for this season.

This lipstick would have to be the most luxurious, high pigmented and buttery of them all. It is so moisture enriched and glossy that it makes you lips appear fuller and feel smoother. It's not a Summer look without a vibrant lip colour like 'First Love' (watermelon-red) that instantly brightens up your entire makeup look. I like to dab this onto my lips to diffuse the intensity of the colour ever so slightly which creates a softer look.
