5 Polishes to Try This Summer

I've never been a huge fan of Summer however, I do love the vibrant and fun colours that are associated with the season. So as I was digging through my plethora of nail polishes, I have collected a handful of them that have Summer written all over them.

With a name like 'Grape Sorbet', you know it's just meant for Summer. This shade by Rimmel from their Super Gel range is a metallic rosy-pink that looks SO pretty when the sunlight hits those nails. Because of its long lasting gel formula, your mani will hold up extremely well against all the super fun pool and beach activities.

I cannot go past a pink or purple for the Summertime, and Sally Hansen's 'Pinky Promise' and 'Street Flair' are just the sweetest pastel shades! You could wear the shades individually or mix it up a bit and wear both for a really cute look. The Miracle Gel line is quite new to me and I'm thoroughly impressed by the formulation and overall quality. Best thing of all, no UV lamp needed to set this gel polish so the sooner you perfect your manicure, the sooner you can enjoy the beautiful sunshine!

A more vibrant pink out of the bunch that I absolutely LOVE to wear during the warmer months is the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in 'Royal Flush'. This shade has a gorgeous shimmer with a fuchsia tinge to it, so it's no wonder why I always reach for this shade every Summer. A perfect shade for the lover of pink, and it really adds that fun and colourful element that this season is all about.

I tend to stay away from green shades of polish, with one exception; a muted green shade like Essie's 'Maximillian Strasse-Her'. If you're not someone who's crazy about pretty pinks, this cool grey-green still has that Summer vibe which is a great option to go for.
