Each and every one of us has experienced loss of confidence at some point in our lives, and it can be tough to pick ourselves back up to regain that confidence. In today's post, I will be sharing with you five easy ways that I believe will truly help lift your mood so you can start trusting yourself again.
CREATE A MUSIC PLAYLIST
Listening to music has such a positive impact on the brain so it's a very effective way to lift your mood and improve your confidence levels. I have a music playlist dedicated to uplifting/confidence boosting songs when I'm feeling down and it definitely helps. A few of my favourites are "Roar" by Katy Perry, "Jump" by Madonna and "Confident" by Demi Lovato. You might even catch yourself singing and bopping along to the music too.

PAMPER YOURSELF
REACH OUT TO FRIENDS
Make a bubble bath or use your favourite bath bomb and bring out the candles. When I'm not feeling myself, I like to go all out on Lush soaps and bath bombs because there is nothing better than a nice relaxing soak in the tub.
Treating yourself to a mani and pedi and wearing your favourite dress because knowing you look pretty will make you feel pretty and that is a big confidence boost. You can even throw on a pair of heels for a little extra something.
There never needs to be a special occasion or a special someone for wearing lingerie so why not wear it for you? It's extremely flattering and a quick way to make you feel good about yourself. Plus, who can resist that beautiful lace?
REACH OUT TO FRIENDS
When I'm feeling blue, sometimes all I need is some reassurance and support from the besties. Other times I just need to get out of the house. So have a girls night, do a little retail therapy or dress up and go to your favourite cocktail bar. Doing things that you love with your loved ones is a fantastic way to lift your mood.
EXERCISE
I'll admit physical activity isn't something I do as often as I should, but when I do my self-confidence just soars, especially if you maintain a daily routine. You don't have to spend hours at the gym or bust out 100 push ups on your living room floor (if that works for you then by all means go for it), but it's as simple as going for a jog around around the block or even going for a long walk down the beach.
PERFUME & LIPSTICK
Did you know it's been said that perfume can boost your confidence? A little spritz of your most loved fragrance can not only increase your confidence levels but also improve your overall mood. A couple of my go-to's that really do the trick are Black Opium by YSL and Olympea by Paco Rabanne.
There's something about a bold red lip that provides an almost instant boost of confidence and makes you feel ready to take on the day. So be sure to find the right tone of red that suits your skin tone, and just rock it!
