I remember Maybelline being one of the very first well known brands that got me into playing with makeup years ago, and I have been a fan of their products ever since. Today's post is all about Maybelline and some of their best products that are long time favourites of mine as well as new.
Born With It from the Color Sensational range is one of those "everyday" shades that I like to just throw in my handbag and run out the door. It's a soft nude-pink with a rich, creamy formula that feels so light on the lips. There is a slight shimmer to it as well which looks quite flattering on the lips. Great day to day shade if you're looking to achieve a natural makeup look.
When I first got my hands on the Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer, it was all I used for a month straight and I still love to use it now. It does a beautiful job at brightening up the under eye area making you look well rested, and helping to erase puffiness and dark circles.
The Super Stay 24HR Lip Color has incredible longevity with minimal to no touch ups required so it's perfect for those long days or nights out. Step 1 is to apply the lip colour and follow up with the top coat which locks it in place. Lovely pigmentation and it doesn't crumble or fade throughout the day which is a big plus.
One of my absolute go-to drugstore foundations is the Fit Me Matte + Poreless and Porcelain suits my fair skin so very well, because it's neither too pink or too yellow. Most of the time I reach for a mattifying base to keep my oily skin at bay, and this one never lets me down. It gives me a flawless matte, full coverage base to work with, doesn't settle into my pores and has amazing staying power. I definitely recommend it!
When you put all that effort into perfecting your manicure, you want it to last for as long as possible. I am a huge fan Maybelline's Super Stay Gel Nail Colour for 3 reasons; The formula is enriched with calcium and iron to strengthen the nails, it applies like a dream and best of all, it leaves my nails chip-free for 7 days (sometimes even longer). Rose Poudre is a must-have for any nude-pink nail colour lover.
If you're on the search for a drugstore blush, I highly recommend the Master Hi-Light. Pink Rose gives you such a beautiful flush to the cheek and the shimmer just adds a radiant glow to the skin. You can dip into the shimmer shade and highlight your brow bones and temples for some extra glow as well. I also have the shades Light Coral and Light Bronze which will be perfect for the Summer season.
Maybelline have done a wonderful job with the Color Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipsticks and I've seen a large amount of extremely positive reviews. They are very light and creamy in texture with intense pigmentation and they last incredibly well throughout the day. Touch Of Spice is by far the most popular shade from the range because who doesn't love a mauve lip?
You know me, I love a matte finish when it comes to my makeup base and what I like about the Matte Maker Powder is how well it keeps my makeup from melting off. Not only that, but the actual powder is SO soft and it also adds a touch of extra coverage to your makeup which is always nice when you have a lot to cover. The only thing that I'm not too fond of is the packaging, but it's still an amazing face powder nonetheless.
