Makeup On A Budget

Budget friendly makeup doesn't necessarily mean cheap and nasty. I have tried handfuls of products that are of incredible quality, and there have been many moments where they have absolutely blown my socks off. So if you're on a budget and still want to look fabulous, these 7 makeup products are a makeup bag must-have.

First up is the popular Kate Sculpting Palette in Coral Glow by Rimmel. This is great for travelling as you have a highlight, contour and blush all in one so it's a pretty handy little palette. I really like the soft shimmer throughout the shades, it just adds a lovely healthy glow to the skin. I definitely recommend picking this one up, I also think it's perfect for anyone wanting to start highlighting and contouring.

NYX have got to be one of my most loved drugstore brands, they just never disappoint especially when it comes to their lip products. Sugar Pie from the Mega Shine Lip Gloss range is a soft shimmery nude shade that can be worn alone or over the top of your favourite lipstick. Not only do they give you the appearance of a fuller lip but the non-sticky formula means your hair won't stick to it on a windy day. Big thumbs up!

If you're on the hunt for an affordable eyeshadow, the Colour Riche Quads by L'Oreal are quite nicely pigmented and soft in texture. Timeless Beige can be used for creating a soft brown day time look or a sultry smokey eye with the shimmery grey for night time. A great quad if you like your eyeshadow more on the neutral side.

The Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder by BH Cosmetics has been a long time favourite of mine because of how soft and silky it is. It also does a brilliant job at setting my makeup in place and ensuring it stays shine free for as long as possible.

I finally understood what all the fuss was about when I purchased L.A. Girl's HD Pro Conceal. It is such a reliable concealer with it's crease-resistant formula and it always looks flawless on the skin. Covers dark under eye circles beautifully as well as blemishes and uneven skin tone.

Burt's Bees ins't a brand I'm too familiar with, so I went along and grabbed one of their lipsticks in the shade Lily Lake. I was really drawn to the packaging, it's so unique and the colour itself is a lovely mauve shade that just screams Autumn. It is formulated with 100% natural moisturizing ingredients that leaves your lips feeling so soft and smooth. If you prefer to wear makeup containing more natural ingredients, I definitely think this is a brand worth taking a look at.

Lastly is a foundation that I have rediscovered a love for and it's the Fabulous & Flawless Foundation by Chi Chi. It's oil free, super lightweight in texture, long wearing and blends flawlessly into the skin, giving you a medium yet buildable coverage. My favourite method of applying it is with a damp makeup sponge and the results are incredible. This foundation is an absolute winner in my books!
