Review | L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

I didn't think I would give into the cushion foundation trend but being a beauty enthusiast, I just had to give it a try. So here I am sharing with you my honest thoughts and opinions on the Nude Magique Cushion Foundation by L'Oreal Paris.

DESCRIPTION
The weightless liquid foundation is infused into a cushion compact, providing buildable coverage from light to medium. Your skin feels smooth, soft and hydrated. Use the super-soft, antimicrobial applicator puff provided for the easiest application.

PACKAGING
The compact really catches your eye with the reflective pink lid and it also has another lid inside to ensure that the product doesn't dry out. Great for travelling and easy for touching up on the go with the applicator puff and mirror included.

FORMULA
It has quite a thin consistency so it's very lightweight on the skin. And the applicator puff makes it a breeze to blend so it never looks patchy.

COVERAGE
It offers light to medium coverage without feeling heavy or looking cakey once layered on. It does well to hide redness however, if you have any blemishes this foundation will not completely camouflage them.

FINISH
The finish of this foundation is quite lovely. It gives you a healthy, natural looking glow to the skin. I didn't notice it to sink into any fine lines, pores or cling to dry patches which is great. It evens out the skin tone really well and surprisingly, it just looks like skin. 01 Porcelain isn't too pink or yellow and I found that it matched my pale skin fairly well.

LONGEVITY
Keeping in mind that I have oily skin so I tend to require a touch up or blot away shine after a couple of hours of wear, especially with a dewy foundation. But with this particular foundation, I felt that I didn't need to until about hour 5 where it was looking a bit too dewy for my liking having my oily skin peaking through my t-zone. The finish still looked fantastic beyond 5 hours of wear with no signs of creasing or fading.

PROS
Lightweight, breathable formula that looks like skin
Pretty packaging with puff and mirror included
Soft and smooth texture
Fuss-free application
Evens out skin tone
Great staying power
No creasing
Hydrating
Buildable

CONS
Limited shade range

FINAL THOUGHTS
Would I recommend this foundation? Absolutely! L'Oreal have nailed this foundation in my opinion. If you prefer a light, dewy foundation then this is for you. If you have breakouts or acne prone skin, I wouldn't rely on this foundation to completely cover them as it will only offer light-medium coverage, so keep that in mind.

It surprisingly holds up really well with my oily skin so I think it'll be perfect for all skin types. I love the natural glowy finish it leaves on my skin, it just makes me look so healthy, and I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of this during Spring and Summer.

Have you tried L'Oreal's Nude Magique Cushion Foundation? Would love to hear your thoughts!
