5 Beauty Hacks

In today's post I'll be sharing with you 5 beauty hacks that are very effective and really make life easier.

I don't have that perfect plump pout so in order for me to achieve that I like to slightly overdraw my lips by using a lip liner. I just follow my natural lip line by starting from the outer corner and move inwards. You can do this for your top and bottom lip if you like, that is totally up to you. If you have a thinner top lip, then I would suggest focusing on the top lip just to even out your lips. I then like to follow up with a matching or similar shade of lipstick to fill in the rest of my lips. Another great tip to give you the appearance of fuller lips is by adding a touch of lip gloss to the center of your lips.

Creating the perfect winged liner can be tricky especially if you're a novice which is where sticky tape comes in handy. Pull a piece of tape that's about 4cm in length, stick it to the back of your hand to remove some of that sticky-ness, and line it up from the outer corner of your eye to the tail of your eyebrow. This will act as a guide whether you're using a liquid or gel eyeliner and it's totally foolproof. Once you've created your wing, simply peel off the tape and that's all there is to it! It'll give you a crisp, precise wing every time!

I haven't gone back to store bought makeup brush cleaner ever since I found out that baby shampoo is such a great, inexpensive alternative. Because of how gentle the formulation is, it keeps my brushes feeling so soft just like brand new. It will thoroughly clean your synthetic or natural makeup brushes and a bottle of it will last you a good while!

A bold red lip is a classic shade and it looks stunning on anyone but it's a little high maintenance. So to ensure your pout looks as perfect as can be, clean up the outline of your lips with some concealer which will also create a barrier to prevent any feathering from occurring.

The last beauty hack I have to share with you is something I do quite regularly and it's exfoliating my lips by using a toothbrush. This works extremely well for me and I find it gives me better results than a lip scrub. I like to apply a lip balm over my lips first, and then gently buff away the dead skin in a circular motion. You will instantly feel the difference and your lips will feel so smooth and soft.
