My Bedtime Skincare Routine

I've always cared about my skin and I do the best I can to look after it. My morning skincare routine differs to my nighttime skincare routine so today I'll be sharing with you what I use to keep my skin looking and feeling its best.

First up is a cleanser by Sukin and it's their Oil Balancing Purifying Gel Cleanser. As you guys may already know, I have an oily skin type so I tend to gravitate towards cleansers that control and balance my oily skin. I was so happy when Sukin released an entire line dedicated to oilier skin types because I love their products! This cleanser contains bamboo charcoal to purify, aloe vera and chamomile to soothe as well as other skin loving ingredients. It really helps to clear my skin of breakouts and impurities which is great if you have blemish prone skin.

I then follow up with a face serum and one that I use quite regularly is Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. It helps to replenish and repair my skin overnight so it is visibly restored by morning. My skin always feels softer and looks healthier when I use this serum and what I love about it is that 99.8% of ingredients are naturally-derived. You can really smell the lavender in this which is a really calming scent for me, and it helps to soothe any inflammation and redness I may have from any nasty breakouts.

Tea tree acts as an anti-bacterial, so I like to use a generous amount of The Body Shop's Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion all over my face when I'm having a bad skin day. It also helps to fade away any spots caused by blemishes and just improves the overall texture of my skin. I like that it's not too heavy and creamy so it works extremely well with my skin type and does a great job at hydrating and soothing my skin as well.

Because the Whole Body Balm by Jersey Shore Cosmetics contains anti-aging properties, I like to use it as an overnight eye treatment. It is loaded with natural and organic ingredients including jojoba and argan oil which makes this balm so deeply nourishing. It is a great multi-purpose product that can be used anywhere on your skin like your face, lips and hands. Anywhere that requires moisture and hydration. A super handy balm for travelling as well!

I am a huge lover of Lush as a brand and I cannot get enough of their bath and shower products. But today I have a lotion to share with you and it's one of their best selling products - The Dream Cream Body Lotion. It is an extremely moisturising hand and body cream that contains chamomile and lavender to soothe and calm the skin. This is a fantastic cream if your legs are sensitive to the razor where your skin can feel dry and look blotchy after shaving.

The last little product I use in my bedtime skincare routine is a lip balm by Hurraw! Moon Balm is a night treatment for your lips with chamomile for soothing and avocado oil for intense hydration while you sleep. The formulation of this lip balm is so rich and creamy that it literally stays on all night. I always wake up with soft, hydrated lips when I use it. It is the only balm I use for bedtime and it's lasted me forever! Pretty amazing lip balm for only a few dollars!
