Valentine's Day Inspired Makeup

Whether you're celebrating this occasion with your valentine, with friends or not at all, this classic Valentine's Day inspired makeup look is perfect for whatever your plans may be and it's also perfectly wearable for any time of the year.

For this look I went for classic Valentine's Day colours - red and pink to create this sweet, flattering makeup look suitable for day or night wear.

I wanted a flawless, full coverage base so I used Maybelline's Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in the shade Porcelain.
I brightened up my under eyes with YSL's Radiant Touch Concealer in Luminous Ivory, and powdered my face with the Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation in Fair to set my makeup in place.

I filled in my brows using my trusty BH Cosmetics Studio Pro HD Brow Pencil in Blonde, and set those hairs in place with Essence's Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara, which by the way is a fantastic product.

I only used one product to create the soft pink eyes, and it's actually a blush trio by Makeup Revolution called Blushing Hearts in the shade Bursting With Love.
I chose to use a blush because the name of it is just too cute and very much suits the theme of this makeup look, as well as the beautiful pink tones which were exactly what I was looking for.

I placed the dark pink shade in the crease of my eye, the highlight shade and a touch of the light pink all over the lid.
I also used the same two lid colours on my bottom lash line and the highlight shade in my inner corner.

Created the winged liner using the NYX Glam Liner Aqua Luxe in Glam Black which adds a touch of sparkle to the look.
Applied a black mascara on my top and bottoms lashes and used a pair of false lashes to add some length and fullness to my eyes.

For my highlight I also used another Makeup Revolution product and it's their Highlight Palette. They are highly pigmented and look gorgeous on the skin.
I used the shade Pink Lights as my brow bone highlight and Peach Lights to highlight my cheekbones, forehead, nose, cupids bow and chin for a stunning glow to my skin.
I used the same blush trio that I used on my eyes and swirled all three colours and swept it across my cheeks for a healthy pink hue.

To prevent any feathering from my lip colour, I used the NYX Retractable Lip Liner in the shade Red to line my lips and followed with Innoxa's Classic Colour Lipstick in Cherry.
Lastly, I dabbed on a little clear lip gloss over my lips for more of a plump, glossy shine.

That is it for my Valentine's Day inspired makeup look and I really hope you enjoyed it.
If you did, please give it a +1 and don't forget to follow me so you don't miss a post!

Stay beautiful!
