Beauty Wish List

A new year calls for new beauty products so I've put together a beauty wishlist that I hope to tick off one by one by the end of the year. There are a lot of luxury products out on the shelves and being a beauty addict, I'm very much looking forward to getting my hands on them to see what all the hype is about.

Ever since Tarte's Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette was released, it was all I was seeing and people were in absolute love with it. It was enough to convince me that I needed it in my collection but when the Tartelette 2 - In Bloom came out, it replaced my urge to purchase the first Tartelette Palette. Don't get me wrong, the first Tartelette Palette is stunning from all the swatches I've seen, but I like some variety between matte and shimmer shades and you can create endless looks with this palette. From all the positive reviews I've read, it definitely seems like it's worth every cent and I know it'll become my obsession for months on end.

I'm all about the base and Marc Jacob's Re(marc)able Foundation sounds like perfection in a bottle. The description of the foundation alone just sold me and I'm really intrigued by it. The formula claims to be featherweight and ten times thinner than an average foundation while still giving you a flawless, full coverage base. I don't have a foundation that I can call my holy grail so this could even be it. And beauty bloggers have been raving about this foundation so I'm eager to give it a try for myself and see if it lives up to the hype.

Pillow Talk Lip Cheat by Charlotte Tilbury was non-stop talked about for the longest time and I think it would go wonderfully with the K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in the shade Bitch Perfect. It looks like a very flattering shade of a pink-nude especially for my fair skin tone. The formula looks so creamy and opaque which is what a good quality lipstick is all about. I adore the packaging on all of her products, they have such a luxurious feel and look to them. The metallic rose gold is simply gorgeous and I think that was the first thing that I was drawn to.

Now for something away from cosmetics and it's Burberry's My Burberry Eau de ToiletteI love me my feminine fragrances and the Eau de Toilette is infused with top notes of sweet pea, lemon flower, peonies, peach flower and freesia. As well as delicate notes of rose, white moss and musk. It smells just like a garden and I know it will be very well loved all year round. I didn't find it to be too overpowering, it was the perfect balance between floral and musk. And the bottle is so simple yet beautiful and elegant.

I have been on the hunt for a holy grail face primer and I have heard nothing but amazing things for the ever so popular Veil Mineral Primer by Hourglass. I would only ever use it for special occasions because of how pricey it is but I know it would be very much worth the money. It's oil-free and smooths out your complexion while minimising shine, it extends the longevity of your foundation as well as offering SPF protection. It claims to do everything you would look for in a primer, especially for oily skin types so I have very high hopes for it.

I was also looking for a highlighter that wasn't too gold or pink but more of a frosty white shade to suit my fair skin. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Starlight looks like it is exactly what I'm looking for. It would be perfect highlighter to achieve that beautiful lit-from-within glow.

The Custom Cover Drops is such a great idea by Cover FX as it allows you to alter the coverage of any foundation you own as well as add coverage to any primer, serum or moisturiser. That is so convenient which makes it such a fantastic product to have in your makeup collection. The fact that they won a Breakthrough Award from Allure in 2015, definitely convinced me that I needed this in my life. It changes the foundation game. Many people who have tried this out for themselves have had very positive things to say so I'm quite excited to trial it.

From what I've read, the Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks by YSL are worth the splurge. The packaging of these lipsticks are just gorgeous and I thought No.13 Pink IN Paris would be a lovely shade to wear just for day to day being a soft pink shade. I'm also liking No. 8 Nude IN Private for a wearable every day nude lipstick.

Have you tried any of the products mentioned?
