My Top 5 Eyeshadow Palettes

It wasn't easy narrowing it down to my top 5. But I thought about which palettes I reach for the most and these lucky palettes made it to the top of the list. These palettes are more on the neutral side which is no surprise because I adore my neutral tones, and they have been well loved and traveled over the months for creating any look I desire for every occasion.

The Too Faced Natural Eyes palette has been a long time favourite of mine and I still can't get enough of it. It was the first expensive palette I bought and I was obsessed with using it for months on end. The quality of the shades themselves are incredible. They're buttery, opaque and blendable. You have a mix of matte and shimmer shades including browns and golds, so you can use this palette for day or night whether you're wanting a soft or heavy look. I have the original palette and I believe they've changed the packaging and replaced a couple of the shades in the new Natural Eyes palette. I'd love to purchase more of their eyeshadow palettes. I'm currently lusting over the new Bon Bons palette which looks absolutely gorgeous. If you don't own a Too Faced palette and you're looking into purchasing one, I'd definitely recommend the Natural Eyes palette. It is well worth the money.

I love Zoeva as a brand and they're known for creating beautiful, quality eyeshadow palettes at affordable prices. Their Rose Golden Eyeshadow Palette is absolutely stunning. Luster (nude matte), Reflective Elegance (soft bronze shimmer) and Foil (foiled metallic gold) are my most used shades in this palette. Rusty Petals would be gorgeous as an all over the lid shade for a night time smoky eye, and it's such a unique shade (metallic rusty brown with a pink shift). The shades offer metallic, matte and satin finishes and are also enriched with Vitamin E. Amazing colour pay off and easy to blend across the eyes. The Cocoa Blend, En Taupe and the Nude Spectrum eyeshadow palettes have really caught my eye so I'm definitely going to look into purchasing them.

Chi Chi's Nudes has definitely been well loved over the years and it's been said that it's a dupe for the ever so popular Urban Decay Naked Palette. I carry this palette with me wherever I travel to because no matter the occasion or mood I'm in, I can always achieve a beautiful eye look whether it be subtle or dramatic. Can be used wet or dry, depending on the intensity you desire. The shades range from light to dark and matte to shimmer. They're highly pigmented and easy to work with. My go-to look with this palette is a warm smoky eye with the gold shimmer shade all over my lid. The shades will go with whatever you choose to wear and that's the best thing about neutral tones, they never clash with your outfit.

The most precious palette I own is the Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Spirit by Stila. You know when you have something so pretty and expensive that you don't want to touch because you're afraid you'll break it? That was how I felt with this palette but it was just too gorgeous to not use. That mirrored rose gold packaging is the prettiest thing I've seen and it comes with a beautiful quote by Leonardo da Vinci; "Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art." You can tell Stila has put a lot of effort into these 20 year celebratory palettes and really thought about each shade they included. Spirit holds 12 of their most iconic shades including the lovable Kitten shade. The shadows are so luxurious and pigmented, they just look so pretty on the eyes. You have 2 matte shades, Puppy and Chinois while the rest are more shimmery. You can create endless looks with this palette which is what makes it so versatile and in my top 5.

The last eyeshadow palette that has made it to my top 5 is a new addition to my collection and it's the Iconic 3 palette by Makeup Revolution. I've heard this is a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette but much more wallet friendly. I don't own the Naked 3 Palette so I can't comment on whether it is a dupe or not however, the shades do look quite similar. I own a few of their other eyeshadow palettes that have impressed me so I had high expectations for it and I've also read good reviews on this palette. The quality of the shadows are amazingly pigmented so it is great value for money. If you're on the hunt for inexpensive neutral eyeshadow palettes, definitely take a look at the Iconic range. Another palette I'd absolutely love to get my hands on is the Salted Caramel which looks good enough to eat and it's an absolute sellout!
