May Favourites

Well Autumn has officially come and gone so now we're heading into the season of snuggly jumpers and mulled wine (no complaints here!). I have a couple of new beauty and makeup bits to share with you plus a hair mask that I am most excited to tell you all about, so welcome friends to my May favourites!

L'ORÉAL BOTANICALS RADIANCE REMEDY MASQUE

Since going a couple shades blonder, I've been taking extra care to maintain my colour so it can look as vibrant and shiny as damn possible (like you just had it freshly dyed). My hair care routine begins with the Herbal Essences Colour Me Happy range to keep my blonde locks looking and feeling healthy, and I'll then follow up with this mask as a little treat for my hair to really boost those results. First of all, as soon as you unscrew the lid you get a punch in the face scent of geranium which isn't bad at all it was just unexpected. I LOVE to slather this mask on to ensure every strand is well coated and I'll let it sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing out. My hair is left feeling well hydrated and smelling like fresh flowers. This is definitely worth giving a try if you have colour treated hair that's in need of reviving.

THIS WORKS IN TRANSIT CAMERA CLOSE-UP

Straight out of the May Look Fantastic Beauty Box comes this mask, primer and moisturiser all-in-one which makes for a pretty great travel essential. I really like how this gives my skin that pick-me-up it sometimes needs in the morning and the results are plump, brighter, hydrated and an overall healthier complexion. It also works wonderfully as a primer for your foundation in the way it leaves a tackiness for your base to adhere to, and it just preps your skin so nicely for whatever makeup look you're trying to achieve. I've been enjoying using this alone over bare skin or under very light minimal makeup, so that radiance still peeks through for a super fresh look. With ingredients like argan oil, hyaluronic acid and caffeine, this product is going to do great things for combating Winter skin!

MAYBELLINE SUPER STAY 7 DAY GEL NAIL COLOUR

I'm a huge fan of this line (I wear 'Rose Poudre' to death!) because you get a long lasting mani without the effort of UV lamps etc, and don't even get me started on removing gel/shellac - it's an actual drag! This formula contains a gel resin to deliver 7 days of chip-free colour which sounds way too good to be true but it truly does, especially when used in conjunction with their 'Crystal Clear' top coat. The shade I've been adoring lately is 'Deep Red' and it is rich with pigment so there's no streaking upon application and the colour just pops against my fair skin. Honestly it's the best drugstore long wearing polish I have tried, I just wish they had more of a shade range to choose from.

Hope you had a fabulous May!
