Winter Ready Skincare

As the days get cooler and darker with Winter just around the corner, it's time to switch up my skincare routine in preparation for what is predicted to be the coldest Winter on record here in the land down under.

GARNIER HYDRA BOMB TISSUE MASK*

Inspired by sheet masks originating from Korea (now widely popular in all of Asia), Garnier have released their own range of tissue masks catering to all skin types. The ultra thin tissue is infused with an intense moisturising formula of hyaluronic acid and chamomile extract to re-hydrate and revive dry, dull skin. These sheet masks tend to be completely saturated in serum so any excess can be applied down your neck and décoIletage so none of that goodness goes to waste. I can already see myself slapping this baby straight onto my face after a day out of having that harsh cold air sucking the life out of my skin.

KORRES WILD ROSE MOISTURISING & BRIGHTENING CREAM

I have the one suited to combination-oily skin types (it's also available for normal-dry skin types), and it is like a massive burst of moisture for my skin without it becoming a greasy mess throughout the day. It has a thick consistency however it doesn't feel heavy and my skin feels uber supple all day long. It's definitely too much for my oily skin during the warmer months, but come Winter and I will not see a single dry patch all season (not matter how cold the nights get!). The addition of corn powder absorbs oiliness which helps keep me relatively matte and the wild rose oil brightens up my complexion which is actually perfect since my skin can become quite lackluster in the wintertime. A total skin savior and a must-have for the upcoming season.

SOAP & GLORY HAND FOOD

Add this to the list of products to love from Soap & Glory because this hand cream is deliciously amazing! I can generously lather this on without it leaving any greasy residue behind and my hands feel immediately softer. The scent of shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow is so dreamy I could smell it all day! If you're on the search for a budget friendly hand cream then I highly recommend this one - it's great value for money and it hydrates the skin so incredibly well. This will definitely be a repurchase of mine after I blaze through it this Winter!

NIVEA LIP BUTTER

I think I can speak for everyone that nobody can get through Winter without a good nourishing lip balm, otherwise we'd be suffering from some serious chapping. One that I picked up just recently is Nivea's Lip Butter in 'Raspberry Rosé' and my gosh it is almost good enough to eat (think raspberry gummies!). It's one of those lip balms that provide you with long lasting moisture, so you don't feel the need to have to constantly reapply every hour because it just evaporated. My lips are always left feeling extremely hydrated and protected against the cold winds, but the best thing of all is that it's only five bucks so get your mittens on it because it does absolute wonders!
