An Introduction to Colourpop

Believe it or not but this is my very first Colourpop order (about time!), and I couldn't be more thrilled about finally seeing what all the hype is about. I was completely overwhelmed by all of their lovely products and colours so I played it safe and went straight for their best sellers. I am most excited to share my little haul with you today, so let's get this post rolling!

LIPS

First up is their Blotted Lip in the shade 'Drip'. I love the idea of a sheer-matte lip colour since I've been really into minimal makeup lately, and this particular one gives my lips a beautiful warm mauve tint with one swipe. You can definitely build it up to a deeper intensity to more of a dark rosy nude which looks very flattering on my fair skin. It feels super lightweight on the lips, not too drying and lasts quite well throughout the day. I do agree with some of the reviews that say the packaging is a bit flawed however, it's not awful and overall I think they are great for the price you're paying.

I couldn't go past the 'Lumière' Lippie Stix after hearing how stunning this dusty mauve pink is, and I am truly smitten! It's not too bold of a shade against my skin tone so I can wear this day or night and it looks utterly fabulous. It applies so smoothly over the lips for a matte lip colour which was a pleasant surprise and it's very comfortable as well. After reading rave reviews and finally trying it for myself, I can see why it's been so well received and the formula is spot on. I cannot wait to add more shades to my collection!

A few minis that came with my order are the Ultra Satin Lips in 'Dopey' (mauve pink) and 'Strip' (warm beige). Love the creamy mousse-like consistency and how highly pigmented they both are. They do dry down to a matte finish but I they're quite moisturising on the lips so they don't settle into cracks and emphasize them. Super impressed by these two and I'd definitely look into purchasing the full sizes, but for now these are the perfect size for throwing in your clutch on a night out.

EYES

The Super Shock Shadow in 'Wattles' is incredibly silky, buttery and just straight up amazing in texture. This shade is a beautiful neutral beige pink with a satin finish and it is right up my alley! I like to sweep it all over the lid and top it off with a few coats of mascara for a soft and pretty day time look. I don't think I've ever used an eyeshadow that has felt this bouncy and creamy so I think these are 100% a must-buy.

FACE

A blush shade that really stood out to me was 'Birthday Suit'. It's a dusty pink with fine shimmer throughout that gives your cheeks a natural healthy flush. It's pretty much a larger version of their Super Sock Shadows in terms of texture and I am living for it! My favourite way to apply it is with a duo fiber brush as it creates a softer and more airbrushed finish to the cheek.

'Lunch Money' has quickly become my new go-to highlighter and the pale gold tone actually complements my skin tone wonderfully. It gives my skin a touch of radiance that isn't too blinding for day to day and it looks absolutely flawless without the sparkly effect. The quality is of high-end with how luxurious it feels and I'm obsessed!

I have to say, I am blown away by how AMAZING each of these products are and they definitely lived up to my expectations. I can see myself adding everything to the cart in my next shop and it would be totally worth it!

What are your Colourpop favourites?
