Lazy Girl Essentials

Now I definitely don't consider myself as a "lazy girl" when it comes to my daily routines. However, when life gets a bit hectic or you're just having one of those days where all you want to do is sit in your pyjamas and binge watch the latest TV show on Netflix, these 5 beauty and makeup products are absolute essentials for the lazy or even the low-maintenance girl.

Dry shampoo plays a big part of my daily hair care routine because it instantly refreshes my hair by absorbing all the oils, giving me that just shampooed look and feel. I have tried many brands but I always come back to Batiste (Cherry fragrance), which has become my all time favourite dry shampoo on the market. It's as easy as a quick spray at the roots of your hair, work it in with your fingers and brush through to ensure you're not left with any powdery residue. It's just great for using in between washes and I go through these like crazy. A definite must-have in your bathroom or on-the-go!

What I like most about L'Oreal's Nude Magique Cushion Foundation is how fuss-free and easy it is to use (you can find an in-depth review here). It's a lazy foundation for me that I generally reach for when I'm up and about running errands. The coverage is quite light but it does a lovely job at evening out my skin tone and leaves my complexion looking natural with a dewy finish. It's also very compact and comes with a handy applicator puff as well as a mirror, so it's prefect for throwing in your makeup bag and touching up as needed throughout the day.

When I'm strapped for time, I like to use products that are 2-in-1 like the Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie by Lush. Not only does it smell heavenly (just like a rose garden) but it cleans and hydrates all in one which saves you from having to moisturise later on. I also love to slather this shower smoothie all over my legs after shaving as it helps to soothe and nourish the skin.

Facial wipes are super lazy yet, they are a quick and effective way to remove all of your makeup after a long day. The Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes are one of few that I can always rely on to thoroughly remove all traces of my makeup (including waterproof mascara), without overly drying out my skin. They also work well to freshen up your skin by removing any build up and impurities when travelling. These wipes are amazing and I am always re-purchasing them for my handbag/travel bag.

A new addition to my drugstore makeup collection is the Flamed Out Shadow Pencil by Covergirl, which is an eyeshadow and eyeliner in one. Ginger Flame is a shimmery pink-champagne shade that really brightens up the eyes for a pretty day time look, and works well as a brow bone highlight too! The formula isn't as creamy as I would've liked so they do slightly pull across the eyelid, but the pigmentation is there and the lasting power is good also. I must say, I much prefer the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils as I find they're much easier to work with, and they definitely do the job when I'm having a lazy makeup day!
