The first thing that I noticed was that in now comes with a pump dispenser! The old packaging didn't so I'm so pleased that Maybelline have chosen to change that. The bottle is glass which gives it an expensive feel and it holds 30ml worth of product which is pretty standard for a foundation.

I picked up the shade True Ivory and I'm not sure if it's a touch too dark for my fair skin or if it oxidized immediately upon application. So that was a bit of a let down. It does blend rather nicely though and gives me medium coverage but buildable. If you have blemishes or imperfections, you may need a concealer as this didn't completely cover all of my skin concerns. However it did give me an almost flawless base that didn't look cakey and the finish isn't too matte that makes you look flat. I don't mind using concealer to camouflage any spots to give me that flawless base, that is the whole purpose of concealer after all!

It claims to be breathable without any fading or transferring and I completely agree with that! Most foundations I own transfer if I touch my face which is annoying but this one doesn't. I've also pulled a jumper over my head and my foundation didn't smudge or rub off anywhere. As for the breathable factor, I actually forgot a couple times that I was even wearing any foundation! Definitely the most comfortable foundation I've worn.

As for the 24hr staying power, I doubt it will last you an entire day especially if you have an oily skin type like myself. It does last a good 6 hours on my skin before I start feeling like I need to blot away any shine on my t-zone. The coverage still held up throughout the day though and I didn't notice any dulling whatsoever. It did sink into my pores slightly but that's nothing a pore filling primer can't fix. I did come home to an orange face so it definitely oxidized which is a huge bummer.

Pros
Breathable formula
Blendable
Doesn't transfer, rub off or fade
Beautiful finish on the skin
Good lasting power
Nice coverage
No caking or creasing

Cons
Poor colour match
Oxidizes

Overall, I think this is a lovely foundation and great for day to day wear. I love how it doesn't sink into any expression lines and how it feels so light on the skin while still giving you great coverage. There are 8 shades in the range which is pretty decent for a drugstore foundation. I wish it came in a lighter shade to cater to us fair skin girls. I really like this foundation and if it weren't for it not matching my skin tone, I would be using it non stop. Would I recommend this new and improved foundation? It's a love hate thing. If you have a paler skin tone, I would not recommend it because you are more than likely to come home with an orange face just like I did which is not a good look! I'd say wait until there's a sale and give it a try for yourself to see if it works for you. If it doesn't, well at least you didn't pay full price for it!
