Beauty Travel Essentials

As I'll be travelling abroad next month, I thought I would share with you what beauty products I'll be taking along with me. These products are very travel friendly for both your carry on and checked baggage, and are my absolute essentials whether it be a domestic or international flight.

Dry shampoo is something I cannot go without when I'm travelling, it is my absolute hair saviour! I can always rely on Batiste's Dry Shampoo to freshen up my hair and it does a fantastic job at absorbing all the oils. It is my go-to brand and Cherry is my current favourite scent, it is just sweet and fruity.

Nivea's Invisible For Black & White Clear Roll-On Deodorant is great for preventing yellow stains on white clothing and white marks on black clothing. I like to keep an anti-perspirant in my carry on luggage so I can re-apply during long flights if I need to. It has a really fresh floral fragrance which I really like and it helps keep me dry throughout the day. And with all the adventuring, 48hr protection is exactly what I need!

Being up in the air, my hands can feel dry which is why I like to carry the Transforming Hand Cream by Mecca Cosmetica. It leaves my hands feeling so incredibly soft and well hydrated without that greasy feel. It has such a lovely subtle scent of hyacinth, green apple and vanilla. It truly does transform your hands!

My face can also feel a touch dry and tight while on the plane, so I always keep a moisturiser in my carry on luggage to re-hydrate my skin. I really enjoy Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, it isn't too rich so it doesn't feel heavy on my oily skin. What I also love about it is that it's oil free but offers enough hydration while still feeling light on my skin. A great moisturiser for oily skin types and it's my go-to during the cooler months as well.

I find the Travel Tubes by Manicare extremely convenient for travelling. Instead of packing my full sized cleanser or shampoo, I like to decant them into a travel sized container and it's a real space saver in your luggage! They are squeeze tubes so they are perfect for containing any liquid products. They hold 89ml worth of product which is quite decent and come with sticker labels so you know what's what.

Some lip balms have a tendency to only hydrate your lips for a brief amount of time and it just disappears. Not the Hurraw! Balms though! They moisturise nicely and it stays on your lips all day long so you don't feel the need to have to re-apply so often. Vanilla Bean has a lovely organic vanilla scent that I really enjoy. Their lip balms contain nothing but natural and organic ingredients and they are only a few dollars which is amazing! I own a couple of them and I can't wait to go through them so I can try out their other delicious flavours.

I know hotels have their own little shampoo and conditioners but I prefer to pack my own. I've been using Herbal Essence's Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner for a few weeks now and I'm really liking it! It has a pomegranate fragrance which I really love and it is the sole reason why it has become my favourite out of their entire range. It is more suited to people with long hair as it helps to protect against split ends and breakage.

I have already re-purchased another pack of the Micellar Cleansing Wipes by Simple for my trip and in my opinion, I think these are the best face wipes I have used. These are very gentle on my skin, don't dry it out and they completely remove all traces of my makeup (even waterproof mascara). I like to have these on me to freshen up and cleanse my skin during a long flight/day and I know I'll be going through these like mad all throughout my vacation.

I never take my high-end fragrances on the plane just in case they break which would be utterly devastating. Thank goodness for perfume atomizers though! They are extremely handy because you can pack your most loved fragrance and it takes up hardly any space at all. I currently have Viktor & Rolf's 'Bon Bon' in my Manicare Atomizer Funnel & Glass. It is refillable so you can easily switch out your fragrances. It's great for your handbag or your carry on luggage as well.

The Rose Jam Shower Gel by Lush is only available during the festive season but I just love how it is the perfect size for travelling. It is 100ml in volume so it will last you a good while and the scent is so florally and sweet, which is right up my alley! It does smell a bit like potpourri but once you've washed it off, you are only left with a slight rose scent that lingers on your skin.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you find this post helpful the next time you're packing for a holiday!
