May Favourites

Happy June! For you guys in the southern hemisphere, hello Winter!

I didn't fall in love with many new products throughout the month of May (I mostly stuck with the same beauty and makeup routine), but these three that I'm about to share with you have impressed me so much so, that I think will become a big part of my makeup routine for months to come.

L.A. GIRL PRO CONCEAL (HIGHLIGHTER)

I purchased this on eBay a while back but completely forgot about until I was getting my makeup stash in order. This is so great for mixing in with your concealer to brighten up your under eyes as it adds a touch of radiance. It can also be used alone as a cheekbone highlight and it's not crazy shimmery in the slightest. Having such fair skin, it's a mission and a half finding a concealer shade that's paler than pale for highlighting under my eyes, forehead, nose and chin. Call off the search party because this does the job and does it well!

BYS BERRIES PALETTE

There are a fair few videos on YouTube about this palette being a dupe for the raved about ABH Modern Renaissance Palette. Unfortunately I don't own it so I can't compare the two, but just from looking at the shades they are definitely quite similar. The warm Autumnal tones are to die for and I cannot get enough of it. I payed under $20 for this BYS palette and I must say, WOW! They are buttery in texture and the colour pay off is surprisingly good so if you've been lusting over that stunning $75 palette but simply can't afford it (don't worry neither can I!), then you 100% need this in your life.

COLOURPOP LUNCH MONEY HIGHLIGHTER

Not too long ago I published a post on my very first Colourpop order (you can find it here in case you missed it) and I absolutely loved everything I picked out, but the one that really blew my socks off was this gorgeous highlighter. It is this amazing soft gold shade that looks truly beautiful on the skin and it's not shimmery - it's just really glowy and melts into the skin. If you were to order one thing from Colourpop, this would have to be it!
