The Valentine's Edit

I can't speak for the rest of the population on February 14, but the very first thing I think about is what I'm I going to wear followed by what beauty products will I be using (is this the dilemma most women face?). I have opted for a mauve matte lip, a heavenly highlighter by Stila and an elegantly chic perfume on this lovey-dovey occasion.

L'ORÉAL OIL EYESHADOW

The oil-in-powder formula is not only unique but also immensely beautiful! It applies like a cream the way it melts into the skin for a wet look shimmer that sets to a powder. No brushes needed which is great because I don't like spending too long on eye makeup so simply swipe and go. 'Don't Stop Me' is a very pretty pale gold shade that can also double as a face highlighter with how flattering and pigmented it is.

GIORGIO ARMANI SI EDP

Sophisticated, elegant and feminine. It's one of my go-to scents for date night (along with Black Opium by YSL) or if I'm feeling a bit fancy. The notes are cassis, vanilla, patchouli, rose and freesia with some woodiness so it's quite a warm, floral, sweet scent that's slightly more mature.

BURBERRY LIQUID LIP VELVET

I've ditched the classic red lip and grabbed Dark Rosewood (deep mauve) just for something different. Against my fair skin it's a little vampy and totally not what I'm used to but it's perfect for Valentine's dinner. It has amazing opacity which is what I expected from Burberry and the lightweight, velvety consistency instantly reminded me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. So comfortable to wear and although it doesn't have the best staying power, however it does last relatively well and fades nicely without crumbling or flaking.

REVLON SUPER LUSTROUS GLOSS

I like having a clear gloss in my collection to slap on over any lipstick for a more shiny finish. What I like most about this particular one is the non-sticky formula, so my lips don't feel like they're stuck together by thick goop. It's infused with moisture boosting ingredients such as agave, moringa oil and capuacu butter for hydration and nourishment.

STILA HEAVEN'S HUE HIGHLIGHTER

Kitten is easily one of the dreamiest highlighters I own so it's no wonder why I reach for it without thinking about it! This shade is incredibly flattering on the skin and gives my complexion next level luminosity. I especially love how it looks when the sunlight hits - it truly is heavenly! For date nights, I will pack this on like no tomorrow (it can be worn sheerly too) and it never looks chunky or like I've obviously worn six too many layers. The cream-to-powder formula blends seamlessly for a flawless finish that makes your skin glow from the heavens.
