1 Year of BlonDee's Beauty + Blogging Tips

This time last year I joined the blogging community and created my very own beauty blog, and I have been loving it ever since. So today I thought I would share with you my journey so far in the past year as a blogger, as well as some tips I have learnt along the way.

Now I know a year isn't a very long time in the blogging world but I am so lucky to have finally found something that I am extremely passionate about. I look back at my earlier blog posts and cannot believe how much my blog has grown from photos to my webpage to the quality of content, I feel like I have achieved so much in one year.

A few things I have learnt while blogging:

As much I love to blog, there are definitely days where writing just doesn't come easy and you are looking at a blank screen for what feels like hours and nothing is happening. I never force it out because I simply cannot publish a post for the sake of it. In those situations, I just walk away and come back to it another time.

I've learnt that it's okay to not write every day of the week, and to not feel guilty about taking a little break. Sometimes if I have a lot going on, it can be difficult to get in the right head space to create quality content. So whenever you are feeling overwhelmed, take a step back and do something to help clear your head. Whether that would be listening to music, reading a book or going for a walk. Whatever works for you.

Be patient because running a blog isn't an easy task and success doesn't happen overnight. So have your goals in mind and take small steps each day to achieve them. Consistency is also another thing I think is very important. By having a routine and posting each week, your readers will know when to expect a new post and it will also help to drive more traffic to your blog.

As I said, I have only been blogging for a year so I'm still learning myself and have much more growing to do with my blog. The 3 key factors I have learnt during the year are: Patience, be consistent and always remember to just have fun.

I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year will bring!
