I go for the 'no-makeup' makeup look more often than I realize! It's light, it's fresh and it is just what I love to wear on a day to day basis. Today I have 8 makeup products that will really give you that flawless yet natural complexion, while still letting your natural beauty shine through.
A primer that I love to use when I have some redness or discolouration, is the Bare Minerals Prime Time Neutralizing Primer. It applies over the skin quite nicely, doesn't accentuate any dry patches and it provides me with a lovely base to work with. The formula has a yellow colour-correcting tint to it that really evens out my skin tone and it also contains light reflective pigments to give you that bright, youthful appearance to the skin.
A great foundation that will give your skin that beautiful healthy glow is the new Nude Magique Cushion Foundation by L'Oreal Paris. It offers light coverage and it's extremely lightweight on the skin. It evens out your skin tone, blends like a dream and the best thing of all, it just looks like skin. Application is so easy with the puff and great for touching up on the go. I've been reaching for it a lot lately as part of my 'no-makeup' makeup routine, I think it's a lovely foundation. L'Oreal have done an amazing job!
Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer is one of my drugstore go-to's when my under eyes are in serious need of brightening. It's illuminating and it conceals quite well under the eyes without sinking into any fine lines. It truly does lift your overall makeup look which is exactly what you want for a fresh faced makeup look.
Some face powders can leave your skin looking completely flat and overly matte which is why when I'm going for a 'no-makeup' makeup look, I like to set my foundation with the Soft Touch Mineral Powder in Soft Focus by Models Prefer. Let me just say, these are stunning dupes for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders but much more budget friendly. They are so buttery in texture and it just gives your skin that gorgeous soft glow without it looking over the top. I highly recommend them, they are definitely a must have in your makeup collection!
The Baked Blushes by Milani are highly pigmented so less is more for this particular makeup look. Corallina is a beautiful shimmery coral shade that adds a nice natural flush to the cheek and would look fantastic on all skin tones. I'm a sucker for peach toned blushes, I think they suit my fair skin incredibly well so I think Luminoso will be my next purchase from the range. You just cannot beat the price for the quality of these blushes.
Brow mascaras are a great effortless way to add shape and volume back into your brows, and I also think they give a more natural effect than if you were to fill them in with a pencil. My absolute favourite brow gel at the moment is L'Oreal's Brow Artist Plumper in Blonde. It does a brilliant job at combing through my brows and the little fibres in the gel really help to fill in any sparse areas.
When it comes to mascara, I think 1-2 coats is plenty for this makeup look because you still want to keep it fairly natural. A brown mascara is great as it's more undetectable than a black mascara. For me however, I prefer a black mascara as it really makes my blue eyes pop. I've been using the Legendary Lengths Mascara in Jet Black by Ulta, and I really like how well it separates and defines my lashes without clumping.
For lips, I've been reaching for the Sephora Collection Color Adapting Lip Balm quite often and it truly makes a difference! It enhances my natural lip colour by adding a slight pink hue to my lips, and it looks completely natural. The only downside for me is the strong sweet marshmallow scent, but once you apply it you don't notice it. I think it's a nice product but I much prefer the Dior Addict Lip Glow.
