I have a love-hate relationship with Summer, but if there's one thing I adore about the season it's the beauty and makeup. Fresh-faced, tons of highlighter and glowing skin from head to toe is what it's all about for me (oh and the beachy waves!). Most of these products have been a part of my warm weather essentials for a long while now, so they are definitely well-loved and trusted to get me ready for Summer.
TOO FACED PEACH PERFECT FOUNDATION
What's not to love about this foundation? It smells of peaches, controls shine and looks flawless on the skin. I've had this for almost a year and it has been a pleasure to use every single time. The medium-buildable coverage means I don't have to worry about concealing (unless I have some stubborn spots), and it never feels heavy on the skin or looks cakey (read my in depth review here). Surprisingly it holds extremely well in high temperatures and the matte finish is exactly what my oily skin skin needs.
MECCA COSMETICA SPF50+ SUPERSCREEN
Highly rated by the beauty world and for good reason! It's the ONLY sunscreen I use on my face because of its broad spectrum 50+ UVA and UVB protection (my easily burnable fair skin needs it!), but also because of its amazing formula. It's lightweight and has a matte, non-greasy finish that doesn't leave a white cast. It's also infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin e and pomegranate to hydrate and protect the skin against free radical damage. A sunscreen with high protection that has skincare benefits AND works well under makeup, yes please!
COVERGIRL SERVING SCULPT PALETTE
Blush, highlighter and bronzer is the ultimate trio and this palette has it all-in-one. The blush is a gorgeous melon shade and the shimmery light pink highlighter complements it beautifully. The bronzer adds a lovely sunkissed warmth to the skin and blends seamlessly. I've been very impressed by Covergirl's palettes as of late (particularly their Super Stunner - super stunning indeed!).
KARL LAGERFELD FLEUR DE PĂCHER EDP
I like to avoid heavy scented perfumes during Summer and opt for a lighter, more clean fragrance. Top notes are pear and yuzu; middle notes are jasmine tea and peach blossom; base notes are woody and musky. It's the perfect floral, fruity scent for relaxed Summer days/nights and definitely not offensive to the nose. In fact, it's hard not to like this fragrance. It doesn't have the best lasting power, but $60 for 100ml means I can afford to spritz it like no tomorrow!
CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZING GEL
There is always a bottle of this beaut sitting in my bathroom, so I think it's safe to say it's my holy grail moisturiser for the season. It is super lightweight in texture and although it's an oil-free formula, it still provides my skin with all day hydration without causing congestion. I love how it instantly absorbs into my skin making it feel incredibly smooth and it also makes for a great base under makeup. A forever repurchase of mine and an absolute must-try for oily/blemish prone skin types.
