Review | Nude by Nature Flawless Liquid Foundation

I love a good ol' classic foundation review and it's been a few months since I've written one (you can catch my previous one here), so today I bring you Nude by Nature's Flawless Liquid Foundation. The packaging is beautiful and it sounds like an amazing product in the description, but sadly it's downhill from there.

DESCRIPTION

The Flawless Liquid Foundation instantly provides a smooth and flawless finish but looks and feels like a second skin thanks to natural pigments that act in seamless affinity with the complexion. The oil-free and fragrance-free formula is buildable from a medium to flawless coverage, is long wearing and gives the skin an even, satin matte finish. Formulated with good for you natural ingredients, including Baobab Fruit Extract and the antioxidant rich Australian native Kakadu Plum and Lilly Pilly to improve the appearance of the skin, it delivers lasting, flawless coverage with each application.

PACKAGING

This unusually shaped frosted glass bottle holds a standard 30ml worth of product, comes with a pump dispenser for ease of use and the metallic rose gold cap adds a lovely feminine touch.

FORMULA

The key ingredients you'll find in this formula are Bamboo Powder for its pore minimising and oil absorbing properties, Kakadu Plum that is rich in Vitamin C, Baobab Fruit Extract to soften the skin, Vitamin E to moisturise and lastly Lilly Pilly that is used for anti-aging. It has a nice creamy consistency but once you begin to blend it into the skin, that's where the problems arise.

COVERAGE

The coverage claims to be medium to full but I was lucky to get any sort of coverage. It blended away into nothing, became a patchy mess, flaked off and emphasized every line and texture on my skin. It actually looks better on the back of my hand than it does on my face.

FINISH

I was hoping for a flawless satin matte finish with at least some coverage but unfortunately I got neither. I had to remove the foundation because I refused to be seen in public - that is how terrible my skin looked and I wish I was exaggerating! The last time I used a foundation that was a complete and utter fail was Rimmel's Fresher Skin Foundation.

LONGEVITY

Well it lasted a total of five minutes before I wiped my face clean. At this point I thought I must have a defective product, so I read a bunch of reviews and majority of them also had negative things to say and shared the same experience with the coverage/finish.

PROS

Oil-free
Fragrance-free
Extensive shade range
Lovely, sleek packaging
Contains natural ingredients
Cruelty-free

CONS

Settles into lines
Emphasizes texture
Patchy finish
Flaky
Little to no coverage
Streaky

FINAL THOUGHTS

I really hoped I would love this as much as their lip products because I'm a huge fan of makeup containing skin loving natural ingredients. In every aspect it just didn't work for me whatsoever and I'm honestly disappointed. It didn't live up to any of the claims and I don't think it's worth spending your money on, so I wouldn't recommend it. It's a shame because there are some wonderful positives about this product, I just think the formula needs a serious revamp to be considered worthy of a place in your makeup bag.

Have you tried this foundation? Does it work for you?
