Affordable Makeup Organisation & Storage Ideas

If you're a makeup junkie then chances are your vanity is overflowing with gorgeous lipsticks, colourful palettes and nail polishes for every season. It really just comes with the territory and it can get quite chaotic, but thankfully there are great ways to store and organise your stash that won't break the bank. Here are a few ideas to help you declutter your makeup collection.

These are the most popular ways to store and organise anything from foundations, lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes. The acrylic material is incredibly durable and can support the weight of all of your products which is why they're an absolute must-have for the beauty enthusiast. I like to keep my acrylic organisers on my vanity with products that I love and reach for on a daily basis. I usually purchase mine from eBay as I find they're much more affordable than most retailers, and quality is just as good. So if you're looking for something to organise your makeup stash in a stylish way, then these are definitely the way to go.

Don't throw away those candle jars! Once you've burnt through your favourite fragrance, you can easily upcycle them and use them to hold your makeup brushes, mascaras, lip glosses, liquid lipsticks or even your eye/lip liners. They're fantastic for storing almost anything and they look very chic sitting neatly on your makeup station. It's a real money saver and it effectively clears clutter.

We've all seen those dreamy Ikea drawers that a lot of beauty gurus and makeup lovers use to store all of their lovely products, but they have quite the price tag on them. Anything with drawers like a storage/filing cabinet (just remove the dividers) that you can find under office furniture, or a drawer trolley that you can find in most department stores which are extremely inexpensive. When it comes to actually organising items into these drawers, small trays from your local discount shop will do the trick. They are amazing for holding your blushes, concealers, bronzers and even nail polish. I bought a bunch of them myself and I've arranged them in my drawers where most of my makeup is categorised, so I know exactly what I'm looking for and where to find it.

Finding a practical storage space for your makeup doesn't have to break the bank, and there are many ways to get creative or find alternatives that will do the job just as well. After all, a tidy room is a tidy mind!

Let me know how you organise and store your makeup!
