One of the many things I enjoy about being a beauty blogger is discovering new products to share with my readers. So whenever I see something new in my local Priceline, I am all over it in a heartbeat. Here is a look at what's new in makeup from Maybelline, L'Oreal and Rimmel.
L'OREAL INFALLIBLE TOTAL COVER FOUNDATION
L'OREAL INFALLIBLE TOTAL COVER FOUNDATION
I am a very loyal fan of L'Oreal as a whole. I don't even think there has been a single product of theirs that I haven't enjoyed, and this foundation could very well be another winner. I was seriously concerned at first when I squeezed the tube and seeing how thick the formula is, because usually when a foundation is that thick it means major cake face. But as soon as I began blending, it just transformed into this smooth and lightweight foundation that gave me a flawless full coverage matte finish without the cakey effect. I am yet to really test out the wear of this foundation, but as far as first impressions go it certainly looks promising!
If this foundation is anything like L'Oreal's Nude Magique Cushion Foundation that I love and adore, then this one will quickly become a new favourite of mine. It claims to smooth and even out your complexion for a natural healthy glow, which is perfect for the warmer months or even in Winter when your skin is looking a bit lackluster. I also love using cushion foundations on lazy makeup days and I often pack them in my makeup bag as they're really travel friendly. I'm looking forward to giving this one a try and sharing my thoughts with you later this month.
L'OREAL INFALLIBLE SEXY BALM
Now I'm not exactly sure how long these have been out for, but they are definitely new to me and I was very intrigued by them. They're pretty much just a deeply moisturising, sweetly scented sheer balm with really cute packaging, but they're fantastic for throwing into your handbag and will have you covered for whatever the spontaneous occasion may be. These are really comfortable to wear and the beautiful glossy finish makes your lips look so plump. They really are a sexy balm.
RIMMEL THE ONLY 1 MATTE LIPSTICK
Matte lips are still very on trend and these brand new lippies from Rimmel are simply amazing! Not only do they have high colour pay off but the formula is so lightweight and not drying in the slightest. They apply so smoothly and the velvety texture is so luxurious as well. At the moment I'm really enjoying the shade 'Salute' which is a gorgeous every day nude that I just know is going to be well-loved. Rimmel have really impressed me with this range and I can definitely see myself reaching for these lipsticks a tonne. If you're a big lover of the matte lip, I think these are definitely worth trying out.
MAYBELLINE MASTER STROBING STICK
Strobing is another trend that looks like is here to stay which I am more than thrilled about because I LOVE me some glow. These strobing sticks are available in two shades - 'Iridescent' (for light complexions) and 'Nude Glow' (for medium complexions). It's creamy yet almost powdery at the same time which makes it a breeze to apply and blend into the skin. 'Iridescent' is a stunning silvery-pink that is such a flattering shade on fair skin, and it gives you this luminous glow that doesn't look glittery at all. Apply it to the tops of your cheekbones, brow bone and inner corners of your eyes to brighten and enhance your features.
The lucky last product from L'Oreal is also new to the Infallible line. If you're someone who isn't blessed with a flawless complexion (like myself), this palette will definitely come in handy for counteracting all sorts of imperfections. Included in this palette are a trio of beige tones for covering imperfections from spots to under eye circles, a lavender shade that is used to cancel out yellow undertones and brighten the skin, and lastly a green concealer that combats redness caused by breakouts or rosacea. Each shade is creamy and very full coverage so a little goes a long way especially if you want to avoid any creasing. It's fantastic value for money and a colour correcting palette is an absolute staple in anyone's makeup stash.
What new goodies have you picked up from the drugstore lately?
