Date Night Ready

Whether you're having date night with your partner or the girls, it's the perfect excuse to get dolled up wearing your favourite dress and best makeup. The bits I have put together make for a stunning sultry look finishing with a spritz of my go-to nighttime fragrance - Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent.

L'ORÉAL GLOW MON AMOUR HIGHLIGHTING DROPS

I was worried the colour would be far too golden for my fair complexion, but it's surprisingly more muted than it looks in the bottle. When swatched, you are blinded by a beam of pale gold with a champagne-silver reflect and it is SO pretty you'll just want to bathe in it. The texture is very light and smooth with a beautiful perfumed scent that isn't too offensive for me personally. It's in no way over-the-top glittery or sparkly (it's pretty much the equivalent of liquid metal). It works amazingly well when mixed in with your foundation, primer or tinted moisturiser when you want to add radiance to your skin, and you can absolutely use it alone to highlight specific areas and dial up the luminosity. If you're a lover of liquid highlighters, this one is a must-have!

RIMMEL MAGNIF'EYES EYESHADOW PALETTE

To be honest, Rimmel's eyeshadows have never wowed me in the past (not many drugstore ones do unfortunately) however, this 'Nude' palette has blown me away! There is a total of 12 shades with most of them being shimmers, but I don't mind at all because I am so impressed by the level of pigmentation. You have a good variety of deep brown tones to create a gorgeous sexy, smoldering eye look for date night and the colours blend so nicely across the lids too. Rimmel if you're reading this, keep doing what you're doing because this is a standout palette and one of the best you'll find at the drugstore!

REVLON CRÈME GEL EYE LINER

While we're on the topic of eye makeup, smoking out a brown eye liner will really enhance that sultry factor and 'Dark Chocolate' is a great shade to opt for since it's not as intense on the eyes as a black. I like to use it on my top lash line instead of liquid liner for a softer look and just smudge it out (same goes for the bottom lash line). It's highly pigmented and the pencil itself isn't hard and scratchy or soft and crumbly, plus I love the fact that it's formulated with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E which we all know are amazing for the skin.

YSL BLACK OPIUM EDP

This fragrance was love at first smell and it's the only one I wear on nights out. With notes of coffee, vanilla and jasmine, what's not to like? It's feminine, sweet, warm and has a mysterious yet sexy vibe to it. It's a tad heavy for Spring and Summer, so I feel it's best worn during Autumn/Winter and you will definitely get compliments on this perfume.

NUDE BY NATURE MOISTURE SHINE LIPSTICK

You really can't go wrong with a lip colour from the red family but instead of your classic red, the shade 'Garnet' from Nude By Nature's Moisture Shine range really complements a brown smoky eye. It applies like a dream over the lips with its creamy formula enriched with Vitamin E, Jojoba and Shea Butter for ultimate hydration. This deep red is still a statement colour but much more wearable and the lovely shine it leaves on your lips makes them appear fuller.

MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL LUSCIOUS MASCARA

No look is complete without a few coats of mascara and I have been liking this one a lot. The formula is quite wet so it's easy to overdo it, but once you wipe off the excess product from the wand and apply your coats before they dry then you'll be left with voluminous lashes. I wouldn't say it's as amazing as their Lash Sensational but still a good mascara nonetheless. If you wanted more drama then by all means smack on some falsies to really enhance your look.
