The Luxury Look for Less

If there's one thing that I've learnt over the years is that you don't need expensive makeup to look and feel utterly fabulous. A lot of drugstore brands have been absolutely killing it when it comes to the quality of their products, and some of them are even on par with high-end brands. So today I have 7 makeup products that will give you that luxury look without the hefty price tag.

A foundation that is great value for money is the Designer Brands Longwear 24 Hour Foundation. I wasn't sure what to expect with this foundation when I purchased it earlier in the year, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed on my skin (you can find my in depth review here). It provides a flawless, full coverage matte finish that lasts all day long and never feels cakey or heavy on the skin. Also contains Vitamins E and C as well as Aloe Vera which your skin will love you for.

An absolute best seller by Sleek MakeUP is their Solstice Highlighting Palette simply because it is just stunning! It comes with a shimmer powder (Subsolar), a cream formula (Ecliptic) and two baked powders (Hemisphere & Equinox). From the metallic gold packaging to the highlighters themselves, they are just to die for and it truly deserves all the hype it's been getting.

The Body Shop's Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 is the perfect shade for my fair skin and it looks quite natural too. The powder is incredibly silky in texture and it gives me the right amount of warmth to my complexion. Definitely recommend this bronzer and I just think the honeycomb print is so cute!

One of my ultimate go-to drugstore eyeshadow palettes is the Iconic 3 by Makeup Revolution. Great range of buttery, pigmented shades for creating day or night makeup looks not to mention, it's also easy on the wallet (catch my full overview and swatches here). A brilliant dupe for the ever so popular Naked 3 by Urban Decay with amazing quality. It is a must-have palette for any lover of makeup.

When I'm wanting to achieve that 'glow from within', I like to use L'Oreal's Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer. This is a great primer to use during the colder months when your skin is looking dull and feeling dry, as it will give your skin a much needed boost of radiance and hydration. Can definitely be worn alone for a fresh youthful glow or under your favourite foundation for an illuminating finish.

I've been really enjoying Revlon's Ultra HD Lipsticks for the past couple of months now, especially the more deeper shades like Primrose. One swipe gives you smooth, intense colour and the formula feels so luxurious and creamy on the lips. Staying power is pretty decent and they're so comfortable to wear as well. These wax-free lipsticks are just beautiful and would make a great addition to your makeup bag.

Ever since I picked up the HD Photogenic Concealer Wand by NYX while I was in the US, it has been the only concealer I have been using. Porcelain is the perfect face brightening product for my fair skin because it's more cool toned. It also works incredibly well as an under eye concealer as it doesn't crease and it always looks flawless. Would also love to get my hands on Pastel Green for those days when my skin is misbehaving.
