Transitional Beauty | Spring to Summer

Swimsuit season is right around the corner so we shift from pink lips and rosy cheeks to glowy bronzed goddess. In preparation for the change in seasons, I have compiled a few beauty and makeup bits to get you Summer ready.

MIMITIKA FACE SUNSCREEN

I wear sunscreen all year round but even more so when Summer arrives. The issue I face with many sunscreens is that thick, greasy feeling that you can almost feel clogging up every pore in your skin (gross right?). I received this beauty in a Look Fantastic box and it is simply amazing! It offers a UVA and UVB protection of 50 which is great in itself, but what I love most about it is it's lightweight so it absorbs instantly, it's non greasy and doesn't give you that awful white cast. Not only that but it also contains Vitamin E to help fight against free radicals and deeply hydrate the skin. Very happy to have this in my skincare regime!

RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRIMER

Summer is the only season where it is absolutely crucial that I prime my skin prior to any makeup application, or I suffer the consequences of looking like an oily mess which is less than ideal. This primer is formulated with kaolin, witch hazel and salicylic acid so it's perfect for oily skin types to keep shine at bay. It's not the best primer I've ever used but it does the job if you're on a budget.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA BUTTER BRONZER

What better way to enter Summer than with a tropical scented bronzer? I raved about how beautiful this product is and if you come across it, buy it right then and there because it is so lovely (especially if you have fair skin!). The consistency is incredibly soft and creamy that blends into the skin with ease, and it leaves you with a sunkissed glow. It's not shimmery whatsoever - it's just looks radiant and natural. There aren't many bronzers that I can say I truly love but this is hands down one of them!

L'ORÉAL COLOUR RICHE LE VERNIS A L'HUILE

A stunning shade of polish to ease you into the season is 'Coral Trianon'. A muted peachy-coral that would brighten up your look without it looking too neon and in your face. I really like how nicely these apply over the nails and I find that they last a lot longer than Essie polishes. Other cute colours you can wear are pale blues and pinks or you can mix and match for a super fun look.
