October Favourites

The month of Halloween has come to an end and while some of you might be sad to see it go for another year, I on the other hand am counting down the days until Christmas! This October I've been enjoying a few new makeup bits and bobs and I'm here today to share them all with you.

ESSENCE MUST HAVES PALETTE

Earlier in the month I wrote about my custom Must Haves palette (you can find it here in case you missed it), and it has become my new favourite thing as of late. I picked out four  lovely shades that I knew would be versatile enough for any occasion or time of day, and for $3 a piece you really cannot go wrong! The colour pay off is quite nice and it's also uber convenient for tucking into your travel makeup bag.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA  BUTTER BRONZER

I had read such positive reviews on this particular bronzer (like how luxurious, radiant and perfect it is for pale complexions), but for some frustrating reason it was just nowhere to be found in stores. iHerb came to my rescue and I can now see why this has gotten SO much love in the wide world of makeup. Some may not be too crash hot about the tropical-coconutty scent, but I'm a fan and the bronzer itself is just as beautiful as I had anticipated; silky in texture, blendable, not muddy or orange and it leaves a lovely sheen on the skin. Finding the right bronzer shade is hard to come by when you have fair skin, so I'm very happy I managed to get my hands on this beauty!

E.L.F. SMALL TAPERED BRUSH

Along with my iHerb order, I bought myself a little tapered brush for highlighting purposes and it does a fantastic job at that! It is just the right size and shape, it picks up product very well and it gives me more of a precise application. For such an affordable price, the overall quality (including the bristles) is quite good and I always recommend them. It would also make for a great contour brush or for setting your under eye concealer.
