July Favourites

Another month down, four more until Christmas! July was my birthday month and I had a wonderful time spent with loved ones. Not to mention, I got very spoilt and I even treated myself to some new luxe goodies (including Guerlain). I've been liking a lot of beauty/makeup products throughout the month, but narrowing it down to my top three favourites was unexpectedly easy.

GUERLAIN MÉTÉORITES BASE

First thing's first - the packaging is just to die for! I absolutely raved about this primer (along with their Météorites Powder Pearls here) because of the way it instantly livens up my complexion. The lightweight gel texture is infused with micro-shimmery particles that leaves my skin looking healthy and radiant, whilst keeping my skin matte all at the same time. I've been loving this during Winter when my skin is in need of a little pick-me-up, and it also does a beautiful job at smoothing everything out. It is such a unique primer and one that I would definitely repurchase despite the hefty price tag.

KORRES WILD ROSE MOISTURISING & BRIGHTENING CREAM

Korres isn't a brand I've heard much of so I was eager to try their skincare products. This face cream is the latest addition to my skincare routine, and I've found it to be exactly what I needed to hydrate in Winter yet still keep shine at bay. The heavy scent of rose was very overwhelming at first but I've grown to really like it - it smells just like a rose garden, even after you've applied it to your face. It contains corn powder to absorb oil and rose is a rich source of Vitamin C to help fade discolouration and to also brighten your complexion. A lovely face cream for oily-combination skin types.

GUERLAIN MÉTÉORITES PEARLS OF POWDER

I've had my eye on this beauty for quite some time and I am SO happy to finally have it in my possession. It really was love at first sight - I mean, isn't it just the prettiest face powder you have ever seen? The detail put into the packaging itself is truly beautiful and the handcrafted pearls smell heavenly! A light dusting of this powder all over my face as a setting powder boosts my skin by making it appear more youthful and illuminated when it's looking a little too flat-matte. It doesn't provide extra coverage or contain any sort of mattifying properties but it is a gorgeous product nonetheless!
