The Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor

New in from Revlon are these highly pigmented lipsticks that contain hyaluronic acid for a deeply hydrated, smooth plump pout. I picked up six of fifteen shades to share with you today (swatches included!), so here is a closer look at the Ultra HD Gel Lipcolors.

Before we get stuck into these beautiful shades, let's talk about the packaging and formulation.

Firstly, I love the packaging - it's sleek, pretty and you know exactly what shade of lipstick you want just by looking at the packaging which makes things a little easier. Now I don't have the biggest of lips, so often I find it tricky to apply lipstick without unintentionally overdrawing which is why I like how slim and precise the tip of these lip colours are.

The very first thing I noticed when I pulled the cap off is the heavy sweet vanilla scent that you also get from their Ultra HD Lipsticks and Ultra HD Matte Lip Colours. It's not a big issue for me and you don't notice it once it's on your lips, but I can see why some may find it unpleasant as it is borderline sickly sweet.

Once swipe gives you amazing pigmentation and they feel incredibly hydrating while leaving a lovely shine on your lips. I like how easy these are to wear for any time of the day and there is a shade to suit everyone.

For the lover of nude tones of lip colours, 'Sand' is a great one to try in combination with a slightly darker lip liner. Or my personal favourite - 'Dawn' which is more of a brown-pink.

From left to right: Dawn, Sand, Vineyard, Arabica, Garden & Pink Cloud.

'Vineyard' (my kind of nighttime shade) gives me serious Autumn vibes that I am absolutely loving right now, along with 'Arabica' that is a gorgeous warm brown with a hint of red. For a pop of colour, 'Garden' is the one to go for and it's perfect for Spring. On to something a little more subtle for everyday wear is 'Pink Cloud' that gives your lips a wash of peachy-pink colour.

These lipsticks just glide over the lips and are so lightweight in texture. They're not completely transfer proof so you will have to reapply every so often, however they do hold up reasonably well considering. Love the metallic slim design packaging and the slanted tip for precision. If you're thinking of adding these to your collection, definitely have a swatch at your local drugstore!
