6 Things to Love About Autumn

Autumn is in the air, the leaves are beginning to change colour and it's time to unpack those warm cozy knits. A few things come to mind when I think about Autumn, like snuggling up in a blanket with a cup of hot spiced apple cider and burning candles that smell just like cinnamon rolls. There are many things to love about this beautiful season so let's get straight into it!

HOT DRINKS

Hot chocolate with marshmallows, chai lattes and spiced apple ciders are my absolute favourite drinks for this time of year. And there's nothing better than rugging up with a hot drink and a good book on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

SCENTED CANDLES

Any candle that smells like apple pie or cinnamon instantly fills the room with a certain warmth and coziness. It's just amazing how burning a candle can change the overall ambience of a room.

AUTUMNAL SHADES OF MAKEUP

Orange, gold, burgundy and deep berry shades scream Autumn and they look flattering on every skin tone. The combination of gold, burgundy and brown have been giving me intense Autumn vibes lately and they work wonderfully for a sultry look.

COMFORT FOOD

I am all about that comfort food, but more so in the cooler months. Rich and creamy pumpkin soup is so delicious and satisfying, which is why it's one of my go-to dishes during the season. Wholesome and hearty stews are also my favourite because they're so very warming and an all-round winner of a meal.

COZY KNITS

What's not to love about a warm chunky knit? They're great for around the house, running errands and they're also perfect for layering. My ultimate Autumn outfits pretty much consist of boots, scarves, coats and knitwear - it's very effortless styling and you'll be left feeling toasty warm, even on those crisp mornings.

AUTUMN LEAVES

Going to parks where all the leaves have transformed into a gorgeous mix of oranges and yellows is a beautiful sight to see. My favourite place to go is in the heart of the city where the gardens are (with my chai latte in hand), and it's so peaceful. I also find an immense amount of joy in stepping on those crunchy leaves - it's just so satisfying and the inner child in me just can't resist doing it!
