My love for Tarte is growing rapidly and there a bunch of products that I kind of NEED to try (including their Shape Tape Concealer and Rainforest of the Sea Foundation). But today the spotlight is on this adorable palette that sure does tease!
I got my hands on this beauty at Ulta while I was in the states last year, but I never actually got around to writing a dedicated post about it until now (tsk tsk). So let's start this post off with the packaging.
Like all of Tarte's products, the packaging of this palette is plain gorgeous. The geometric pink, purple and metallic gold is such a pretty combination that any girly girl will just LOVE, and if you're anything like me then you will definitely get sucked in by the packaging. It comes with a mirror which is always handy and it also magnetizes shut, so we don't have to worry about it opening up and having those beautiful shadows shattering in our makeup bags (a makeup lover's worst nightmare!).
This miniature version of Tarte's best-selling Tartelette Palette holds four matte and two shimmer shades that are of amazing pigmentation. Every shade feels incredibly buttery and velvety soft as well so it quickly became love at first swatch.

Whether you're wanting a soft, subtle eye look or something sultry and flirty, this palette has got you covered. For the day time, I tend to go for a simple and pretty eye and the perfect shade I like to start with is 'Whisper' (light pink) and apply it all over the lid. To add a touch of sparkle and depth, I then follow with 'Crush' (taupe shimmer) and blend it into the crease and out area of my eye. You can definitely leave it at that or you can smoke it out with a lovely matte brown like 'Heartbreaker'.
The top three shades are more on the neutral side of the scale whereas the bottom row are all about the mauve tones. 'Bff' (matte plum) paired with the shade 'First Kiss' which is a stunning shimmery mauve makes the ultimate Autumn inspired eye look. They blend like an absolute dream across the eyelids and the chocolate-vanilla scent is to die for!

I highly recommend getting a hold of it, especially if you're new to the brand and want to try them out before diving straight in as they are slightly pricey (but totally worth it!).
